Generally speaking, Amaya was a big advocate for arming anyone who was interested in being armed and had the shiny gold coins to back that up, but when a very sleek raccoon with slicked back fur and a small briefcase ambled into her shop that morning, she had a few reservations. After all, she'd been one of the ones to spend time in that hole that one time, and she lived on this island, which bred a natural wariness about raccoons in general.

But it turned out that she didn't need to worry about the raccoon looking to arm himself against the island; he apparently just wanted to talk to Dave and Diane to give a statement or two for a case he was working on. It did make her wonder what Dave and Diane had been up to lately (and, more importantly, how they'd managed to get up to anything, really), but far be it from her to keep the raccoon from doing his job. So she went and fetched her lobsters from upstairs, and now the lobsters and the raccoon lawyer were having a meeting in the corner of the shop that even Amaya was so intrigued by that she wasn't really doing work so much as trying to find quieter things to keep her occupied so she could try to eavesdrop.

Not that she could really understand a lot of what was transpiring, but it wasn't every day that, apparently, your lobsters were key witnesses for a discrimination lawsuit.
