The Photo Hut - Thursday
Liz was feeling a little apprehensive about going back to work, she knew she could have given it another week or so but she wanted to start easing back into working and try working one morning a week to start with. She was also a little tired, so she was trying to take it easy for her first shift back since she was only going to work a few hours that morning and then she could head back upstairs for the rest of the day.
She was trying to stay focused on her work, at least trying to get started on the finance report but her thoughts did keep drifting upstairs so she wasn’t making much progress but it was a start at least.

"Have no fear!" he announced. "Lunch is here!"
He grinned as he set the bag with some sandwiches and some neatly packed salads in containers on the counter. "Sandwiches," he clarified, and now that his other hand was free, he moved it to shift his support more effectively. "Not the baby."
You know, in case anyone was confused there.

Almost as if on cue, Noctra started to whine and fuss a little in his arms and he chuckled, moving to pass her over to Liz.
"But she's clearly missed her mom."
He'd be offended, but, like, he could relate.

“I didn’t think going back would be this hard, even for a few hours,” she admitted, “I didn’t get as much work done today as I thought I would,”
Admittedly she knew there was a real chance that was going to happen but she knew this was going to take time.

Thank gods; maybe he'd actually be able to finally get some sleep in between now and when he'd probably be chasing her around everywhere once she got started with moving.

“That’s true,” she agreed, “and I know it will be a few weeks before I go back to two days a week,”
Her smile grew fonder, “can you just imagine what her first baby steps will be like? How adorable that will be,”
Liz maybe wait until she started crawling first.

But at least the guy had gone a little easier on Prompto this month, all things considered.

And he almost said something about how as long as it wasn't fishing, but then that would just make him sad. Even just thinking it kind of made him feel that way, a little, and so he just took a moment to focus, instead, on how they definitely had a while before they had to worry about that, and, for now, to just enjoy the fact that even something like Liz's hand was somehow the most interesting thing in the world to this amazing tiny little person.
"Hard to believe," he said softly, "it's been a month already, huh?"
Sure, sure, it had been a very long and exhausting month, but a month all the same.

She looked down at Noctra playing with her hands, “It’s been amazing watching her grow, the last month has just flown by,”
Even with the lack of sleep, everything was worth it being able to hold their daughter in her arms, “she’s perfect and amazing isn’t she?”
Noctra gurgled as if in agreement at that.

Where had Prompto managed to suddenly, at that moment, manage to extract a camera from somewhere? They were in a camera store and he was Prompto Argentum. He had his ways.
But he was definitely snapping a picture of Liz and Noctra in that moment, too, one of millions of others before it.

She looked up when she noticed that Prompto was taking a photo of them and smiled up at him , she was not surprised at all that he had managed to get a camera out. Her smile widened as she held Noctra close to her, enjoying the tender moment between them.

"Naaahh," he contested, lightly, making sure to put a grin in it so it came off as mostly a joke, and not just him being realistic about the truth (or lack thereof) in such a claim.
But the camera was out, so he was going to snap a few more shots, doing a few turns around them for a few good angles.
"That's right," he said, perched now at a good angle to get a shot of Nocta's face, "biiiiiig smile for the camera. Say Wooikee!"
He got mostly a gurgle and a indecipherable noise.
"Close enough!"
