The Magpie Emporium, Thursday (3/16)
The plushies were in a different configuration than they had been yesterday, but they still seemed to be locked in the same fuzzy adorable struggle that they'd been in all week.
Steph was trying not to worry about it too much, and kept herself occupied with putting together a dramatic duel themed display for a new game that had just come in. This one looked like it was going to be a lot of fun to play, and she was pretty excited about it.

"What's this?" Stark asked, nodding to the display she was working on. "Hello, Steph."

Little Bot beeped a greeting at him, a plushie displacer beast held gingerly in several servo arms so it looked like he'd been wrestling with it.
"What's up?"

"I just came in to say hello. Maybe to look around."
Maybe someone else needed to be entranced by shiny math rocks.

"Have you met Little Bot?" Steph asked, indicating the souped-up Roomba. "He's half the reason this place is as neat as it is -- and of course you can look around. There's a lot of shit to look at."
Shiny math rocks were for everyone to be entranced by!

There were probably some things that were at least vaguely familiar.
"I've never really played many games." But ooh, the dice were shiny and he did enjoy that and his eye was immediately drawn to them.

She leaned back against the counter and not-so-subtly nudged a set of sparkly metal dice in Stark's direction.
"If you want to know what anything is, all you have to do is ask." She sketched a goofy, ornate bow. "I, the occasionally humble proprietor of the establishment, am here to help with a no-judgment guarantee when it comes to questions about anything in here."

"I don't know where to start. But these," he said, picking up one of the dice to turn it over in his hand, "these are lovely."

"I know, right?" asked Steph, poking idly at one of the other dice in that set. "Blows my mind a little that people have turned this into some kind of art form."

"You have so many," Stark said, picking up the d20 now. "And so many colors. I like the blue in this one."
But did you have anything in pink, Steph? Someone was on a bit of a pink kick of late.

"Believe me, this is just a fraction of the different kinds you can find," Steph said. "And that's not even counting some of the amazing handmade stuff people make and put up on Etsy. Like. They'll hand sculpt tiny little animals and objects to put inside transparent dice."

Besides hoard them like dragon, as one does.
"I know games but I don't know any of them. Or... they're just pretty."
Was he now eyeing those glow in the dark pink ones? Yes.

Okay, that wasn't entirely helpful without context, so she continued, "It keeps things a little random in most games. Degree of success, how much damage you do, all kinds of things depending on the game. And some people? Just kind of collect them."
