The Perk, Friday Late Morning
Stark was not wearing green today because he didn't know he was supposed to. He'd certainly had this particular tradition mentioned to him before but he wasn't really paying attention to the date. Luckily, so far, he'd avoided any pinching. So far.
He was ordering a breakfast sandwich on a green bagel after being encouraged to do so by the barista who also tried to sell him on a variety of Irish/green-themed beverages. He settled on one with Irish cream syrup and a lot of whipped cream.
Once he had his order he took his usual seat at a table by the window to see what, or who, he might see today.
[not a real work day because I'm terribly ill most conference days *cough cough* so this is very open for caffeine and alien needs]

And then wondered if maybe he could swing by the T&C and just torment Prompto with them instead, but it just wasn't the same. Sigh.
But drink in one hand, book in another, he went to seek out a spot, but of course offered Stark a nod and a lift of his book hand in sort of wave.
"Stark. How's it going?"

"Hello, Gladio," Stark said, nodding back. "It's...fine. And you? Would you like to sit?"
Company was nice, after all.
no subject
"Depends," he said with a grin. "Would you like company?"
But he was already pulling out a chair, yeah.
no subject
"You had class today? Did it go well?"
Any interesting news to report from your life otherwise?
no subject
"Just got out a bit ago, yeah," Gladio confirmed, and the pleased, almost proud expression on his face did a good job of answering the other question. "Volleyball this week. Tried to keep it nice and balanced switching up the teams, but one of 'em just swept the floor clean of the others," he huffed out a laugh, "myself included. If I didn't know any better, I'd've thought I had a ringer."
no subject
"Volleyball is...one with a net?" Stark ventured. "I don't play sports."
Though he could be athletic at times!

He'd probably enjoy watching beach volleyball even if he didn't like playing it.
"I've never tried that one. Maybe Anakin will make us play it one Wednesday."

They could only hope it got demolished when Insomnia was attacked, all those years ago.
...it had absolutely not been.
no subject
No, it absolutely survived an apocalypse. In the distant future archeologists might study it.
"Wednesdays are...an experience. Maybe you'll see for yourself this summer."

There was a long sip of coffee, before he touched on the other thing.
"I guess I might as well check 'em out for myself..."
Wasn't like he was going anywhere else any time soon, but he'd rather not think about still being stuck here through the summer if he could help it.

Sometimes all of the above.
"But some of it is just very odd. Very, very odd."
no subject
"But being made to be squirrel-sized does sound a little out there."
no subject
"I like being my regular size," Stark said. "And shape. At least we weren't actual squirrels."

And where was that piano music coming from?
"Meep meep mee mee--"
Enjoy Danny Boy, at least until Beaker bursts into tears at the finale!

But hey, at least he wasn't exploding? Yet.

Sometimes the spirit just moved him, Stark.

"I like your hat," Stark told him.

And he hadn't been reminded by anyone. His stylist was otherwise engaged today.

Did that count?
no subject
Was it supposed to be green, Stark?
no subject
Did that answer the question?
"Maybe you should try one?"
Except maybe it would make Beaker explode. Because Beaker.
