Prompto had stumbled upon an absolutely hilarious (no, really, you guys, if you knew cameras, it was really funny!) camera meme the other day and hadn't really been able to get it out of his head. He wanted to try and think of some way to work it into promoting various camera brands, but what it resulted in was a lot of hyperfixation at the computer trying to photoshop his own terrible amazing memes of his own.

So, yeah, hopefully there wasn't a whole lot else he should be doing right now, because he was definitely sucked into the computer today, chuckling proudly at some of the most obscure and specific photography jokes and memes to be had, wondering if maybe his class might enjoy them as well.

At around lunchtime Liz took Noctra down for their Monday visit.

“Hi,” she smiled as she carefully adjusted Noctra in her arms, “we both missed you and wanted to see how you were,”

Noctra gurgled in response.

"Hi." Prompto grinned up over at them, incredibly niche photography memes nudged now to the back of his mind as they took the front of it, pushing back his chair a little and everything to show who was getting his undivided attention now. "Doing pretty good. Quiet today, so I've just been messing around in Photoshop and stuff, so this is a very welcome interruption. How's things been up in the homestead?"

Liz smiled, “they’ve been going very well, Noctra had a nice feed this morning, didn’t make too much of a mess, she missed you though, would you like to hold her?” Noctra cooed softly.

“Oh what kind of things are you working on in photoshop?” she asked, trying to see if she could see what he was working on.

"Of course I would," Prompto stated, because duh, and he got off to not only make the hand-off easier, but also to sneak in a quick kiss while he was there, thinking himself very stealthy and clever, truly. "And just some dumb internet meme stuff. Came across a good one the other day about cameras, wanted to maybe do something similar with signs around the store or something maybe."

Liz smiled at the kiss as she handed Noctra over to Prompto, “oh that sounds like fun,” she said, “and signs around the store would be something different, what kind of meme was it?”

"You know those memes," Prompto ventured, with a brief pause to plant a kiss on the top of Noctra's forehead, too, before getting her settled in his arms, not really expecting Liz to know but trying his best to explain anyway, "where it's, like, a bunch of characters, usually, from something, and it just has, like, silly little descriptions of them? Like 'is cinnamon roll' or 'smoll'? Only instead of characters, it was types of people with different brands of cameras. So, like, Nikon was something like 'only shoots astros and seascapes,' and I think Olympus 'had cute glasses,' and---you know what?"

It was really hard to describe a meme, so Prompto, bouncing Noctra a little, just nodded at the computer. "It's still up there, if you wanted to take a look."

He would show her, but now he was busy with attacking a baby with a very dangerous hand monster to her belly.

"Apparently, Sony users only shoot in conditions where there's no light. Could have used that back on Eos, I can tell you that much."

Liz was still very much new to memes so she was trying to follow along as best she could with Prompto’s explanations.

She wasn’t sure if she completely understood and she did get a little distracted with watching Prompto and Noctra.

“I think I might need to take a look to understand,” she said apologetically and smiled softly at the last part, “I must say I didn’t know that about Sony users but it does sound like a useful technique to have,”

"I'm just kinda bummed they didn't have my good old Lokton," Prompto said with a faint smile, "but that's not really surprising, pretty sure that one's an Eos-only brand."

Liz smiled softly at that, "I have tried to keep a look out for your camera, in case we have a brand like it on Earth but I haven't been able to find one, I do think it might be only a brand on Eos," she admitted apologetically.

"It's funny, though," Prompto grinned a little. "It seems like it's just a big amalgamation of all the different brands here. Pretty sure that makes it, like, the perfect camera, but I am kind of biased."

His grin quirked a little more, then, leaning toward her, trying to look particularly charming, while resting a finger somewhere toward Noctra's tiny little hand, as she became incredibly distracted by it in that moment.

"So," he prompted, "what do you think the meme would say about your typical Lokton devotee?"

“Well …” Liz gave a warm smile as she watched Noctra play with Prompto’s finger, “first I would think it would have to say something about how amazing and wonderful they are,” she said as her smile widened.

"Hmmm," Prompto squinted a little in thought. "Really? I think I would have gone more along the lines of handsome...and charming...definitely hilarious, too. Good sense of humor, on a Lokton user."

“Of course,” Liz’s smile widened, “they are definitely all important features for a Lokton user and along with being handsome, charming, hilarious, we can’t forget being clever and witty and very, very talented as well,” she smiled happily up at him.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," said Prompto, who would have held up his hand if both of them weren't currently occupied with a baby. "Hold on, there. Clever, witty, and talented? Starting to feel a little loaded, there, you might be losing me..."

“Oh?” Liz’s smile widened and she leaned into give him a kiss, being careful of where Noctra was as she did, “the Lokton user is absolutely wonderful though, he’s my favourite person,” she added, with a faint blush.

"Mmm, well," said Prompto, after grinning into that kiss, "if that's the case, may I never use another type of camera again. Definitely would like to keep that part going."

Liz smiled happily up at him, as she leaned in close, “it is definitely the case,” she assured him, “he will always be my favourite person,” and yes there was another kiss again.
