No, Rosa had not been on top of her desk when she'd transformed from a detective trying to decide whether she wanted to bother with the email from someone insisting that their ex started the fire on Saturday and they wanted D&A to dig up the proof into a panther, but it did not take long after the transformation for Rosa to unceremoniously knock a bunch of stuff off her desk to make room for her to lounge comfortably on it, big tail thumping behind her as she started grooming her paws.

Did you want to be the one to tell her that animals shouldn't be on desks?

Didn't think so.

Miguel came downstairs bringing coffee.

Miguel looked at the panther and sighed.

"Cats don't get caffeine."

Rosa squinted her eyes over at Tightpants, before bearing her teeth a little and giving a disconsolate growl to let him know what she had to think about this very clearly wrong assessment.

"Don't give me that. I'm not poisoning you. Pretty sure we've got a steak in the fridge, though. Come on." He slurped his coffee and turned to go back upstairs.

Rosa took a moment to consider this compromise, and then, making her decision, took a moment to languidly stretch her massive body out on the desk, knocking a few more things over and off of it, and then hopped down off of it to go padding softly after him.

Maybe purring.

Just a little.

Mention it and she'll start sharpening claws, though.

Miguel wouldn't dare! He might smirk a little, but that was one thing coffee was good for - hiding his expression.

"You want it cooked or raw?" he asked as he found the meat. He didn't want to presume.

Rosa was just going to give him a look and a whuff over such a stupid question. Not just because she felt the answer was obvious, but it wasn't like she could actually tell him the answer anyway.

"...yeah, I have no idea what that means."

Miguel opened the steak and put it on a plate, then set that down for Rosa. "Eat it or go sit on the couch while I cook it."

Hey, he was the one asking the panther without verbal capabilities either/or questions, not her.

But Rosa was now voraciously tearing into that steak, so...there you go.

"Right." Miguel nodded and took out his phone. "I'll call T&C and make sure they've got plenty of meat for...however long this lasts."

And treats for the dog to coax her out from under the bed.
