Community Center Class: Baked Baking [Tuesday 4/4]
Stark, who was not at all sulking about Summer still being a squirrel an entire week later, was alone in the classroom today. It having been an entire week meant that Summer would likely be back to herself at any time and nobody wanted that to happen in front of the class.
“Summer couldn’t join us tonight,” Stark said. More like Summer had made it very clear that Stark was something of an idiot for even asking if she wanted to come. There had been lots of tiny eyerolls and tiny foot stomping and mocking chittering. “Since she’s still a squirrel.”
“So we’re making squirrel-friendly snacks tonight. At least I think they’re squirrel-friendly.”
Summer had certainly laughed herself right off the couch where she’d been perched when he offered to let her taste the ‘sweet, salty, spicy nuts.’ She had eventually accepted some before demanding his phone and painstakingly finding a recipe of her own to suggest.
“One was even picked out by Summer yesterday. And the other by me. So we’ve both contributed even if she isn’t here for class. I have party nuts.” Back at MHA, a squirrelly Summer was probably laughing again. “And then we have salted nut roll bites that Summer found, as a squirrel, after she was done laughing at me for offering her some party nuts.”
