Wanda had been extremely aware Jeff had been neglected for, oh, the last year or so. That wasn't to say he was shabby or anything, but she had been ignoring her buddy for a long time.

Since it was nice out she was aiming to change that, breaking out a ladder to affix a pair of bunny ears on his head. Would've been easier with magic, but she still wasn't touching that.

"He looks very festive!" Steve called up, waving.

"Thanks!" Wanda called down. "I've been ignoring him. I felt bad about it."

"I'm sure Jeff understands," Steve said, smiling. "He doesn't seem like a grudge holder."

[scarlet_chaos]

"I feel guilty anyway," Wanda said, carefully making her way down the ladder. "And he's come to life before, I'd rather hedge my bets."

"That's also a good point," Steve admitted. "It's been a while since that's happened but it doesn't mean it won't."

"Things are kind of cyclical here, I bet it will," she said. "Hopefully without the sleep deprivation next time."

"That wasn't a good time," Steve agreed.

[scarlet_chaos]

"Agreed," Wanda said, looking up at Jeff with a frown. "It's not crooked, is it?"

"Maybe a little more to the left?" Steve said, tilting his head.

[scarlet_chaos]

"Yeah," Wanda said, nodding. She moved to go back up the ladder. "Spot me, please."

Though, really, if she fell she'd likely save herself with magic whether she tried to or not.

But it made Steve feel useful, so that was a win for him!

"Of course," he said with the seriousness and focus he'd put into, say, a Chitauri invasion.
