JGoB, Friday Afternoon
The weather was not nearly so nice today as yesterday but that hadn't stopped Stark from going out. It still wasn't cold and miserable winter weather and that was good enough for him.
Besides, if he hadn't gone out he would have missed out on all of the absolutely adorable holiday baked goods. There were all manner of egg and bunny related snacks and even some carefully packaged Kosher for Passover desserts brought in from an outside bakery should anyone need those.
Stark had gone right for the 'bunnies in blankets' because they were too cute to resist and then he'd gotten an assortment of colorful cookies for later. Just in case he needed something to share with a friend.
For now he had a few different colored bunnies on brownies and a seat at a table by the window.

Which meant having to decide what to get, although he felt being a plant for more than a week was as good an excuse as any to splurge on maybe a little of everything.
And in deciding that, he took a second to nod and lift a hand in greeting. "Stark. How's it going?"
no subject
Maybe it would have been good to see him as a plant too. Stark did have a fondness for plant people.
"I'm... doing well." And he really was, lately. "And you? When did you stop being not yourself?"
no subject
"Just a little bit ago," he said with a nod, then he snorted. "Just in time to completely miss my class, but Iggy had it covered for me. Feels a bit weird, having lost pretty much a whole week, but it's not like weird time stuff's all that out of my e experience. Did I miss anything interesting?"
no subject
"Summer stopped being a squirrel while sitting on my kitchen counter," Stark offered. "And Prompto stopped being a puppy but not with me. And the nurses said my arm ought to be fine soon?"
Maybe he could come to the gym and get swole.
"I'm not sure what else might be interesting." Gladio didn't have any interest in awkward invitations to prom, right?
no subject
"Oh, that's right," said Gladio, "I'd forgotten about your arm. No offense, but, you know. I was a plant. But that's great, that it's feeling better. You'll be back in fighting form in no time."
no subject
"You had other things to concern yourself with." Like photosynthesis! "Did Ignis make sure you got enough light, at least?"
Stark was very familiar with how much plants liked light.
"I'm not sure about fighting form. I prefer not fighting. If I can avoid it."
no subject
"A lot more than the last time, anyway," Gladio said with a snort, but, well, last time hadn't really been Ignis' fault. It was tough for a plant in a world without sun.
"And, yeah, most people feel that way, but the thing is, the better your fighting form, hopefully the less you have to fight if you do have to fight, right? And better chances of not finding yourself in a situation where you'll get injured like that again."

"But I'm telling you," he leaned forward a little, arm on the table, because sitting also made proseltyzing for the Gym Gods easier, too!, "building up that strength is a great way to avoid injury, too. I mean, just look at me. You've seen the scars; it'll basically take a ten-ton truck to keep me down."
no subject
"I have seen the scars," he agreed. "And you've seen mine."
Gladio's looked better, honestly.
no subject
"Well," he amended, snorting, grinning faintly, "maybe more like twenty percent. I don't know. Never really that big on math. There's a reason I let guys like Iggy handle all the numbers stuff."
Well, that, and guys like Iggy rarely let anyone else handle the numbers stuff regardless.
no subject
"But...maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea. To try and help myself to not need help later."

"I still don't know," he said after chewing it thoughtfully, "how most things in the gym work. I might need a real tour. Someday."
no subject
He snorted.
"For real this time."
no subject
"I... alright. A real tour, this time. Not that I didn't... but a real tour would be good. Useful."
no subject
"We could get you started out on a treadmill," he mused. "Won't need to worry about the arm too much, and you never want to skip a good leg day, anyway. I'd offer to have you join our morning runs around the island, but those stairs can be a killer if you're not used to 'em."
no subject
Usually.
"I walk around the island, often. I just don't usually run."
no subject
Forget the fact that Prompto had been a religious and dedicated jogger since before he even met Gladio, shhhh.

Gladio did have such a nice broad back, after all.
"I think I'll start at the gym. For now."
