The Photo Hut; Monday [04/10].

The week after turning back from a puppy had been pretty good for Prompto, really; it almost felt like a nice reset and, even better, he'd managed to actually get some sleep while he was a dog. He felt a little bad that Liz had wound up having to carry a little extra work that week, but he liked to think he made up for it a bit once he was back.

And he'd also made up for the lack of photos he'd taken when he was a puppy, which meant, when Monday rolled around, after taking care of a few little admin things to make Liz's life easier and a few shipments and just tidying and cleaning up the place a little, he settled in at the computer, made a big deal out of stretching out and getting ready, and then hunkered in to upload all the shots and start editing and cropping and doing whatever to get them ready to post up on his stock profile.

Still just mostly cat pictures and scenery from around the island, but he'd gotten a few good squirrel ones in there this time, too, and was really proud of the Video Game Aesthetic set he'd thrown together with all his gamer gear.

The Photo Hut is open!

Just before lunchtime, Liz came downstairs with Noctra for a visit, "hi," she smiled, "we both missed you," Noctra gurgled happily in agreement, "how is everything down here?"

"We've had quite a good morning," Liz smiled down at Noctra, "she had a good feed, so that's always nice when it's not quite so messy," she added with a gentle laugh.

"Would you like to give her a hold?" she asked her smile widening as she held Noctra gently towards Prompto.

Liz smiled warmly at the kiss and as she gently handed Noctra over to Prompto, “I think Noctra could definitely help pick the best photos of Rain, what do you think Noctra!” as she smiled at her daughter.

Noctra gurgled happily, even though she seemed to be more interested in her father’s hands than in photos.

Liz smiled as she watched Prompto and Noctra, “maybe Rain will just like all the additional attention that she won’t mind what photos Noctra picks?” she considered with a tilt of her head.

After his trip to DC last week and with the possibility of him and Connor going on a dig in the summer, Cutter decided that investing in some new cameras for them to take wouldn’t be a bad idea so he decided to stop by the Photo Hut that morning, which he realised he’d never actually been in there before so he was looking around rather curiously, he really had no idea about cameras or technology so he was looking a little lost, “er … hello?” he said a little awkwardly.

"Actually ..." Cutter looked back at the row of cameras before looking back up at Prompto, "I think I might need help, I was looking for potential cameras to take on a dig, only this is all a bit out of comfort zone," he admitted, there was a reason that Connor was the one who handled all the tech side of things.

“Well a palaeontology dig,” Cutter clarified as he watched Prompto hop over the counter, he was reminded of the ARC and how many people didn’t walk around furniture either mug to Lester’s dismay, “I went to the Smithsonian last week and thought investing in a new camera wouldn’t be a bad idea,” he explained.

“I’ve worked in a number of different environments for different digs,” Cutter nodded, “even though the dig I’m hoping to get us on is going to Africa do the climate will be dry and hot,” he added. “so something that works in different kind of weather would be best,”
