The Perk, Saturday afternoon

Anakin was in the coffee shop nursing a huge mug of coffee. At the table with him was his teenage daughter Juliet messing around with her phone, and tween son Christopher, cycling between drawing on the paper he'd brought and kicked Juliet not-so-stealthily under the table.

Anakin's attention was split between them, a teenage boy glowering at him from a different table, and the Force signature of a very familiar presence as she raced around the island exploring. It was going to be such a very long weekend.

Saber glanced up, huffed, and went back to his comm. It was much more interesting than talking to anyone.

Anakin slanted his eyes over at him. "Yes," he said. "Very dramatic. Who do you belong to?"

"Stark," Saber said.

[sith_happened]

"I'll let him know," Anakin said, sending a message.

[stykera]

Stark, accompanied by three ginger children (one of whom was blue), had survived a family breakfast and avoided (for the moment) an awkward conversation with Summer.

And then he'd gotten an odd text from Anakin which didn't make sense because surely he didn't have more children on the island?

Still, going to the Perk for something very caffeinated seemed like a great idea.

"Anakin," he said, nodding.

[sith_happened]

"Stark," Anakin said, nodding. "Tiny...other Starks..."

[stykera]

"Ziya," Stark said as the blue girl lifted a hand in greeting. "Cass." The non-blue girl holding her phone waved absently. "And Bixby." That was the ginger boy, obviously, with the unruly hair.

"And this is Anakin, if you don't already know him. Do you already know him?"

[sith_happened]

Anakin waved. "These are my children Juliet and Christopher," he said. "They live here all the time. And that's--" he paused. "I don't know his name."

[skycrawlers]

"Saber," Saber told his comm.

[stykera]

"Another one of yours?" Stark asked. "You have a large family."

What with all those alternate universes and all.

[sith_happened]

"I don't think so--" Anakin said, just as Saber shot Stark sarcastic finger guns and replied, "you got it."

"Sithspit," Anakin added.

[stykera]

"I thought you said one of mine was here," Stark said, looking around. "But I brought mine with me."

Because obviously he didn't have more than these three gingers! OBVIOUSLY.

[skycrawlers]

Saber gave him a deeply unimpressed look. "Put it together."

[stykera]

"Oh no," Stark said, in the tone of someone who had just put it together and was having none of it.

He pulled his wallet out of his pocket, handed it to Ziya and waved the 3 ginger children toward the counter.

"Anakin. No."

[sith_happened]

"Last year one showed up from me and Aphra," Anakin said. "This seems slightly more likely?"

[stykera]

"How is this more likely than anything?" Stark demanded.

He was trying to process a lot today Anakin. So much.

"We're not...we...it's not likely at all!"

[sith_happened]

"Well, no," Anakin agreed.

"Sitting right here," Saber muttered.

[stykera]

"Maybe he's joking?" Stark suggested. So far his other three children today were far more likely. Well, one was impossible but she'd arrived more than once before which meant she wasn't impossible somewhere and that was enough. But the other pair of them were the most possible of any children he'd ever had show up.

"Can you...tell?"

With your weird space magic, Anakin?

Anakin closed his eyes. "He's not lying," he finally concluded.

[stykera]

The pack of ginger children returned from the counter then bearing sugary drinks for themselves and Stark.

"Did you break Dad's brain?" Bixby asked Anakin. "Usually only Mom makes him look like that."

"My brain is fine," Stark said, taking his drink and his wallet back.

[sith_happened]

"I'm an expert brain-breaker," Anakin said, nodding.

[glowyfacebabies]

"You should be gentle with Papa's brain," Ziya said firmly. "You shouldn't try and break him!"

"I'm not broken," Stark protested. "I was just very surprised. I have had a lot of surprises today. So many surprises."

[sith_happened]

"So many sugared-up surprises," Anakin said. "And Saber."

[stykera]

"Does he not like sugar?" Stark asked.

That would somehow be even more surprising than sharing a child with Anakin was to begin with.

[sith_happened]

"I don't think he likes anything," Anakin said.

"Don't like you," Saber agreed.

[stykera]

"He's not so terrible," Stark told Saber. "Sometimes. Except on Wednesdays in the summer."

[skycrawlers]

Saber snickered. "That part's kinda funny."

[glowyfacebabies]

"Why's it funny?" Ziya asked. It sounded innocent enough but she was narrowing her eyes at the older boy.

[skycrawlers]

"Because a bunch of grown-ups are trying to pick up fish with their toes," Saber said. "It's hilarious."

[glowyfacebabies]

Ziya giggled at that.

"Can you pick up fish with your toes? I've never tried."

Uncle Rygel totally could.

[skycrawlers]

"Probably," Saber said. "I've never tried."

Because he was a fun suck.
