Liz wasn’t sure what was happening right now in Fandom and she wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to head downstairs to open up the store or not but she figured that she could get in a few hours of work and head back upstairs at the first sign of any trouble.

At the least she wanted to try and finish the last of the admin work she had left to do for the month and the last of the financial report that she had to work on, so that was what she was trying to work on before she headed back upstairs.

Yeah, there was nothing like having your morning run with the guys interrupted by a bunch of maniac zebras to really sort of put an edge on your day, and Prompto had to admit that having Liz downstairs while he and Noctra were upstairs didn't really sit well with him. So, of course, that meant bundling Noctra up and going downstairs and nudging Rain along with him, too, because if weird things were happening to animals, he wanted to keep an eye on her, as well.

And then he regretted his decision, because what if something happened with Rain while she was around Liz and Noctra?

"Babe," he finally said, worried and exasperated and feeling a little twitchy about everything, "are you sure that stuff can't wait for when this all blows over?"

Liz looked at Prompto and then at Noctra and Rain, “it’s really bad out there isn’t it?” she said softly, rather worried.

“I guess I can wait a few more days, I didn’t have too much work to do today,” she added.

"It is pretty bad, yeah," Prompto said, reluctantly, almost apologetically, as if he was somehow responsible for it. "And knowing this place, it's only going to get worse before it gets better. Pretty sure there's nothing here right now that can't just wait. I just feel we'll all be safer," as if in agreement, Noctra let out a little fussy wail and squirmed uncomfortably against his chest, "upstairs. Together. You know?"

Do not even get him started on the complex feelings he was going through right now of being armed while holding his baby.

Hearing that wail, instantly Liz saved all the work she had been doing and stood up, “upstairs does sound better,” she agreed as she moved closer to Prompto and Noctra, “I think we can head back up now,” she said softly.

"Good," Prompto breathed out with relief, giving Liz a faint smile before leaning in to give her a soft kiss on her forehead. "Thank you."

“You’re welcome,” Liz returned that faint smile as she leaned into give them a hug, “I’m sorry,” she said softly, “I didn’t mean to worry you,”
