Magic Box | Tuesday

The Magic Box had made it through the chaos of last week unscathed, which was more than she could say for other buildings in town. Though it would have been fun trying to repair it with her own two hands since she was on a no-magic kick still.

The whole idea of it had her sitting at the register sketching out different ways she could set up the store. It could use a little renovation.

Well, it had been pretty messy. And kind of adorable in the end. So, really, Wanda hadn't missed too much.

"Hi, Wanda," Jane said, lookin around to confirm the store was untouched. And not just because she'd been a party to some of the property damage and felt guilty enough to need to check on people. No, nooo.

"Hey!" Wanda greeted, looking up from her (crude, crude) drawings. "How's it going?"

"Good to see everything is still in place here," Jane said, peaking over a little bit at the drawing. "Maybe Jeff scared the animals off last week."

[scarlet_chaos]

"You'd think Jeff would attract animals," Wanda said. "Or dog-like ones at least. Being made of bones and everything."

"But if you put a hat on him, he's basically a very big scarecrow."

A good boy in a straw hat. With his arms out in a corn field. That is a scarecrow.

"I can confirm doves aren't scared of him." But maybe scarecrows were just that--meant for crows. "How'd you handle the madness? I saw Tony's place got pretty much wrecked."

Jane looked as embarrassed as anyone in cool fantasy armor and a cape could. "I might have... accidentallythrownanelephantintothebuilding."

What was that again, Jane?

"You did what now?" Wanda asked. "Repeat it, but slower."

[needsacatchphrase]

"I threw an elephant person and it might have damaged the building." Maybe. But, you know, collateral damage buddies? "Steve said it was okay!"

Of course Steve did.

[scarlet_chaos]

"Yeah, but did Tony say it was okay?" Wanda said lightly. "Though he probably enjoyed the excuse to have a project to throw money at."

[needsacatchphrase]

"I haven't been served any papers yet, so I think I might be in the clear?"

Wanda, please tell her she was in the clear.

[scarlet_chaos]

"I wouldn't worry about it," Wanda said with a wave of her hand. "I'm sure the buildings here are insured for that sort of thing."

Which would be interesting insurance fraud to try to commit, now that she was thinking about it.

"I'll just keep my head down in case," Jane suggested. "And hope for a nice, quiet week."

Oh, that was a jinx.

"Oh, come on," Wanda said lightly. "You totally loved having stuff to beat up."

"...maybe just a little," Jane admitted gleefully. "It was so cool. I hit an elephant through a building."

[scarlet_chaos]

"All the fun of a fight and nobody got hurt!" Which was more than Wanda could say when she destroyed buildings. "Just one building that I'm sure was already begging for a renovation."

[needsacatchphrase]

"Like practice," Jane agreed. "Which was helpful because I didn't know I could do that."

Man was Thor holding back a lot, wasn't he?
