Nancy, still riding high on the thrill of having actually been useful last week (which helpfully dampened the pang of how she wanted to be useful back home for just a little while), was eager for the trend to continue at work this week, too.

Which was why she fell for a phone call she shouldn't have, and spent a good twenty minutes taking down a report on a rabid bird of some sort before finally sussing out that this guy actually just had a problem with his neighbor's parrot and wanted her to do something about it.

"Teach it funny things to say through the wall, I guess," she advised before hanging up.
