When Liz got downstairs she noticed that there were quite a few boxes of items that had turned up. She hadn’t expected so much new stock to be there so she spending her morning going through what had arrived and was working on doing some store inventory as she did and she also managed to rearrange some display cases while she was it.

It ended up being a lot of stock to go through but Liz didn’t mind and it was definitely a lot more enjoyable than working on the finance report, so she was happy to leave that for another week.

Knowing that Iggy was doing skewers for his class that day, Prompto decided to take a little inspiration from the cooking master himself for today's lunch, which involved spending a lot of time worrying that he'd accidentally leave some of those pointy sticks within reach of Noctra and her very grabby hands lately, although, really, his obsessing over it meant that she'd never even come remotely close to one of them enough.

She was pretty sleepy by the time he finished, too, and, in thinking he could get away with a repeat of last week's naptime departure downstairs, Prompto discovered that, tired though she may be, she wanted nothing to do with her crib. So he just bundled her up in a carrying sling and brought her down with him again.

"Hi!" he greeted. "Lunch has--"

He noticed the boxes, even though, by the point, Liz had surely made it through some of them, but, well...

"Whoa, where'd all this come from?"

Setting the food on the counter, he went to go have a closer look at what some of the boxes even were for.

Liz smiled up at Prompto as she stopped on the process of emptying one of the boxes, “apparently all the stock decided to turn up today,” she looked around at the empty boxes she’d unpacked.

“I didn’t expect there to be so much stuff,”

"Do you think it's a weird Fandom thing?" Prompto asked, wandering over and glad he'd tossed Noctra into the sling so that his hands were free to peek into one of the boxes; she, meanwhile, knowing where she was and spotting Liz, started making excited babbles, with her limbs swinging to match. "Or did one of us just misplace a decimal or add an extra zero somewhere, do you think?"

“I’m not sure,” Liz admitted as she moved closer so she could start to waggle her fingers at Noctra for her to play with, “maybe a bit of both? I did order some stock a few weeks ago but I didn’t think I ordered that much,” she said as she tried to remember the order she’d placed.

"Could be a combo of both," Prompto grinned faintly. "Or maybe the Turtle & Canary gig is rubbing off on me. Apparently, stuff shows up that no one ordered all the time there."

Liz smiled, "that was like when I first came here," she admitted, "there were so many boxes already here, I thought Professor Broom had ordered them so they'd be here when I arrived but he said that he never ordered anything," she tilted her head a bit, "I suppose it might be something that we'll never find out," she said fondly.
