The Photo Hut - Thursday

There were no boxes when Liz turned up this week, so remembering her conversation with Prompto on Monday, she decided to update the social media accounts for the Photo Hut because ~~the mun forgot~~, it had been quite a while since she had last updated them and she thought it wouldn’t hurt to update them and maybe they could start to generate some interest for the Photo Hut.

So that’s what she spent most of the morning doing, in between answering some emails and finishing a few other bits of paperwork that she had to do.

Prompto? Was really digging this whole finally getting into the swing of a schedule things that was going on with Noctra, and he was especially enjoying how Thursday mornings had sort of become its own routine of some playtime and engagement after Liz went downstairs to get some work done, followed by music and food prep in the kitchen until Noctra was good and tuckered out for a solid nap right around lunch time. He still had the baby monitor attached to his belt and would be on it at even the slightest little sound of distress or even just movement, but it was nice to be able to settle her down and then head downstairs to interrupt and pester Liz for a bit.

"Hi," he said, grinning broadly as he, first and foremost, drifted over to pair that greeting with a quick kiss, before popping open the container he'd brought down and proudly declaring, "Look at the cute egg things I made!"

He was very proud of them, Liz. Even if not all of them had made it down there today.

Liz smiled brightly first at the kiss and then as she looked down at the container, "oh wow, they're adorable," she said as she looked back up at Prompto, "I can't wait to try them, thank you," and then she leaned in to give him another kiss, "how has your morning been?"

"Mmm." There was a soft hum of appreciation for those kisses as Prompto grinned into them, then just sort of grinned back at Liz for a moment before responding. "It's been great. There was some good work on pushing up and rolling over; Rain got in on that, too, and then we were bopping to some Beach Bunny while we whipped up some lunch. Switched over to some Beatles when she started to get a little drowsy, then I settled her in and now I get to do this."

Which was kissing her again. Maybe a lot, before getting around to, "How about yours?"

Liz was very happy to keep those kisses going as long as possible, "you had a very busy morning," she smiled up at him, "mine wasn't anywhere near as exciting, answered some emails and did some paperwork and then I remembered I'd set up social media accounts for the Photo Hut ... I think it's been at least a year since I last updated them," she admitted.

"Oh, man," Prompto groaned a little, looking apologetic. "That sounds like something I should have been a little more on top of, especially since I've been putting so much into the freelance and stock websites! A year? Seriously? We should be updating that kind of thing pretty much every day."

And social media stuff used to be his jam! But, in his defense, it had been a bit of a wild year/decade. And nothing like ten years without Instagram to really break you out of your habits!

Liz looked a little sheepish, “I remembered there were accounts after our conversation the other day, I thought maybe we could get some more interaction that way? They still need a lot of work but I figured if they were updated first it would help,”

"Well," Prompto said, giving Liz a little bit of an imploring look, "if you want further help, don't forget, you did marry a former social media addict, you know. My attention really has been more on the website and my portfolio lately, though..."

Liz smiled, “I would like that, I think I still know how to use the sites, they’re still taking a bit of getting used to,” she admitted.

"Well," said Prompto, looking thoughtful for a moment, slightly spoiled by the goofy, crooked grin. "How about this? An incentive for you, to get in the habit. Make a goal to post at least once a day. You miss one, and I take over and post pictures of..." He trailed off to think of something good.

"...all my cooking failures," he decided.

"And if you'll get ice cream at the end of a full week, too."

Would she be getting ice cream regardless of whether or not she did the thing?

Yeah, probably. Not the point!

Liz’s smile widened, “I do like the sound of that, okay I think I can do that, post on our socials for a week, I can do it in the morning so I don’t forget later,” she considered.

She especially liked the sound of getting a ice cream out of it too.

Prompto nodded, his smile fond and approving. "And the more you do it, the easier it become to remember, and, before you know it, it's all part of routine without even thinking about it!"

He had been reading a lot about the importance of schedules for babies. Maybe the same coild be applied to mothers as well

“I’ll start tomorrow,” Liz promised, returning that fond smile, “that way I can start getting the ball rolling on daily posting and attempt to keep to a schedule, maybe we can get some good interaction out of this?” She said hopefully.

"Well, I know I'll be liking every post," Prompto assured her with a kiss.

Because that'll surely help a lot!

It would totally help!

Liz smiled as she happily leaned into the kiss, “then I’ll make sure they’re really good posts,” she promised.
