Eric was back from his week-long trip to New Orleans, which explained (...sort of) the shiny, shiny silver pants (shirtlessly. It was humid as hell.) he was wearing tonight. It didn't explain Tiny's booty shorts and vest ensemble and Eric was, frankly, not interested in learning more about Tiny's fashion choices that evening, so he was sipping a Sazerac, avoiding talking to Tiny, and remembering why he didn't drink Sazerac.

Ugh. Absinthe.

"Eric!" Raiden boomed as he walked in the door. "I told you I remembered where the bar was! Haha, as if I could forget..." Oh, Eric wasn't wearing a shirt.

That was just unfair.

Gladio came in, as usual, and took in Eric's silvery pants and Tiny's booty shorts, and then considered his own black leather.

"I feel like I missed a memo."

But at least he had the shirtlessness down!

Eric grinned toothily and waved. "Hello, Raiden."

"No memo," Eric assured him. "Tiny has declared it Booty Short Monday for himself and I refused to ask follow-up questions."

"... Of course you're shirtless."

This was Octavia's lack of surprise.

"Well, it's hot," Eric said, smiling, "and I missed Pride."

"Sometimes," said Gladio, with an agreeing nod, "great art is just best left unquestioned."

Said with his own pointed look toward Eric's own shiny, shiny pants.

"I wasn't told that was part of it."

Eric leaned over to assess Tiny's ass. "Acceptable art at most."

"I have the right to ogle oiled, shirtless people," Eric said, nodding.

"Well, then you didn't miss anything, because there weren't any at the festival."

No, she hadn't gone to the parade, so she couldn't speak to whatever that had been like.

"That is a crime against hotness," Eric declared. "Have you seen the people here? I will write a letter to the mayor."

"Do you think she'll care?"

Because Octavia had seen jesse once or twice, and --

"I'm pretty sure she doesn't."

"Maybe if I send helpful photographic evidence?"

Eric, that's creepy.

Octavia looked predictably unimpressed.

"Don't."

"I'll definitely take the connoisseur's word on that one," Gladio deferred with another nod. "How've you been, Eric?"

"No one ever lets me have any fun," Eric said.

Oh, right. Words. "Should I take off my shirt?"

"Yes," Eric said promptly. Because that was always the correct answer, according to Eric.

"Good," Eric said. "In New Orleans for a work thing."

And the shirt was gone, because Raiden did so hate to be off theme.

The hat was still firmly on his head.

"How's that? Better?"

"No one lets you harass people," Octavia retorted, gesturing to Tiny for a soda. (Without looking at his pants.) "There's a difference."

"Much," Eric said approvingly, smiling.

He would ignore the hat and focus on the chest.

The pants were very distracting, Eric. But then so was Eric's torso. Everything about Eric was distracting.

"You're very shiny tonight," Stark said. "Hello, Eric."

"I won't catcall," Eric said. "Just...appreciate."
