Atlas Gym; Tuesday [07/04].
Gladio had been reading up on the American revolution in some of his free time, and in addition to not only finding it interesting because he did like things that were historical and military with themes he could relate to, but it also meant that he could appreciate the thematic update to the motivational poster in the lobby and the (thanks gods) tastefully light decor of red, white, and blue, because he actually knew who that was now! He was a little less inclined to notice that the staff had put on a thematic playlist, as well, but that's just because he didn't pay much attention to the music except as just sort of background noise in the first place.
But other than that (and a few new flavors of instant noodle hanging out in the Cup NoodleTM machine today), it was pretty business as usual around the gym, as Gladio did his rounds checking the equipment when he opened up and got ready for another day of people getting their sweat on.
Atlas is open!

Besides, today was one of the few days she could wear something like this week's workout outfit without coming off as a complete asshole.

To hold out a gold star for her with a nod that tried to be serious, but it was possible to pull off too serious when you were handing out little tiny shiny stickers.
"Nell. Looking pretty good out there. That a new one?"
no subject
She patted the space next to her should he want to sit for a bit. "How are you doing today, Gladio?"
no subject
"Definitely keep at it the way you are," he said, "and you'll get there. And I'm good, thanks. Not much new to report since Sunday, really."
Well, there had been less sneezing thanks to the weather, at least!
"How 'bout you? Another trip to visit your warrior women yesterday, I take it?"
no subject
It made her smile just thinking about it. "Never thought I'd enjoy something like this so much. Did I tell you Lana gave me a holocomm so I could talk to them and arrange to visit whenever I wanted?"

And since she opened the door a little to pointers, he continued to offer a couple of minor suggestions regarding form for her to try next time, with a little bit of gesturing with his hands for further emphasis.
"Might help it go a little smoother," he said, sending a smile over to Nell, "at least as far as I can tell from here."

Nell got up and gave it a try, taking into account his suggestions. "Yes!" she said. "Oh, that definitely helps, thank you!"

He did notice someone else's leggings though. They certainly were eye-catching and he was looking, respectfully, without commenting.
He would comment to Gladio though, when he saw him. "Morning," he said, with a slightly stiff nod.

"It's going fine."
Oh no, more burpees.
"How are you? Any recommendations for the day? Should I hit more things?"
He couldn't go over to the weights, obviously!

It had been a while since Stark had felt a need to hit a person but you just never knew when that might come up again.
"Feeling with last week? My knuckles don't hurt anymore. They did, the next day. But that may just be lack of practice. Or a sign I ought to have used the gloves? Both. The rest of it..."
Stark shrugged. "I feel better than I did. Less worried."
no subject
Low bar, Gladio! Real low bar!
"If a little tense, though. Make sure you get a good stretch and warm up before you get into anything, or you'll definitely regret it in the morning. Gloves are definitely not a bad idea if your knuckles took as much of a beating as the bags, or I can maybe teach you how to wrap 'em to help cut down on that."

Gloves were going to feel weird!

"I don't think I'll go so hard as last time," he said, trying to roll his shoulders as demonstrated. "I try not to make myself bleed if I can help it."
no subject
"Pretty solid goal to have," said Gladio with a snort. "I'll go get the wraps, you work on getting those shoulders loosened up a little more."
no subject
No real injuries, in any case. Little scratches didn't count.
But he nodded and continued trying to roll his shoulders.
