Jon's morning had been surreal. Granted, "surreal" had kind of been his life for years, and Fandom hadn't exactly fixed that, but still.

He'd been rather at a loss for what to do when a...friend? maybe?...came back from the dead for a weekend. So...coffee. Tea. Whatever.

Tim looked around. "Looks like every other cafe anywhere. I'd say I'm disappointed in the lack of fucked-upness from a place that can do this, but honestly I'm good with the lack of fucked-upness."

"It's...it's usually calm around here. Mostly."

"How's the chai?"

"I'm not sure."

"Hm." Tim leaned on the counter and turned his charm on the barista. "Your best chai, please."

The barista rolled her eyes and rang him up.
