Steve had de-ottered with just enough time to feel massively guilty about the relief he felt from his dead father had not making a reappearance. So he was distracting himself with a new story Chin had sent him about a guy arrested for stealing cops' guns using a plastic grabber shaped like a dinosaur.
Steve wasn't sure he'd arrest the guy. That was just plain hilarious. He forwarded the story to Danny and Diego with an "important upgrade in theft technology" note attached.
The Trooper Station was open! Just don't ask why Steve was buying plastic grabbers shaped like dinosaurs. It was, um, classified. Yes.
