When the employee who had signed him up for a class came in that Thursday, he immediately asked Boc how his class had gone, and, naturally, Boc was filled with instant distress over having to explain to him that he didn't even go to his class. Not because he didn't want to (although he didn't!), but because he'd gone and it turned out to be canceled, but he promised, he had nothing to do with that, he would never, but he did try to go, he really did, he hadn't forgotten that he had been signed up for a class at all or anything like that, so please don't be upset with him, it wasn't his fault!
And the employee just shrugged and said, "That happens a lot here, man" and went to go log on to the register, and now Boc had all this terrible anxious energy he didn't know what to do with, so there were a lot of things that were going to be hemmed that day, just to try to work some of it out.
