With everything settled again after last week's...excitement, Prompto went down to the shop that morning with the intention of getting straight to work and making up for the lost time last week. He was going to make sure everything was nice and organized, maybe even take a stab at some of the computer work so that Liz didn't have as much to worry about in that regard throughout the week, and update the website a little bit, maybe look into snagging a gig or two over the weekend since he had a good feeling about it not being tentative due to Fandom weirdness....

But then he started to unpack a shipment of some new tripod heads that immediately snagged his attention and demanded to be explored further.

"Ooooooooh."

Well. So much for getting work done! But if anyone had any questions about a Manfrotto Xpro Ball Tripod Head with a Top Lock, boy, was Prompto going to have you covered!

Now that things were starting to settle back down in a routine, at lunchtime Liz came downstairs with Noctra.

She smiled, “hi are we interrupting?”

"Hmm?" Prompto looked up from a field of tripods he'd set up to test the new heads on and blinked at Liz a little before his brain made the shift out of his hyperfixation on shiny new photography equipment to actual flesh and blood people. "Oh!" He laughed a little sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Hi. Yeah, uh, not really, I was just trying out these new tripod heads that came in. Ha e you seen these guys? They're amazing!"

He was probably literally the only person on the entire island who would even give them a second thought, honestly, but, hey! All the more reason to give them extra thought, right?

“Oh wow,” Liz grinned as she carried Noctra over to take a look, “I haven’t seen these yet, did they come in today?” she asked as she looked closely at them.

"They did just come in today," Prompto confirmed, "and they're great! Come check this out!"

Were you expecting a nice im-Prompto demonstration of fancy new tripod heads when you came down into the shop that day, Liz? Because that was exactly what you were getting.

And his enthusiasm for all the nifty little tricks and details was palpable.

And Liz's smile widened at Prompto's enthusiasm, Noctra cooing softly in her arms as if she wanted to see the demonstration as well, so she adjusted her slightly so they could both watch Prompto's demonstration.

"Oh we definitely have to see how this works," Liz grinned, "maybe I'll even have to have a go with one later on," she added.

"I know I plan on seeing what kind of damage I can do with one of these." Prompto grinned a little as he noticed Noctra's attention shifting toward him as he talked. Maybe it was just hearing the familiar sounds of his voice in eager story-telling mode (she was subjected to that a lot!) or the excited gestures of his hands, but he liked to think a part of her just realized, on a deep, intuitive level, just how cool this piece of equipment was.

"I'd pass it over to see how babyproof it is, but you know it'll just go straight into her mouth."

Noctra’s attention definitely was on the cool looking equipment and she started to try and reach out to grab at it.

“Oh no, wait til you’re a little bit older sweetie,” Liz said softly, and she grinned over at Prompto as she tried to distract Noctra from grabbing it with her fingers.

“I think that’s probably a good idea,” she smiled softly at that, “even though I think Noctra definitely wants to play with one now,”

"I mean," Prompto laughed a little and offered over his own waggling fingers, "I can't fault her for that, that's exactly what I did the moment I saw them, too."
