That afternoon, Summer Smith had three things: a koala in a new Hawaiian shirt clinging to her back like an adorable fuzzy backpack because sometimes you just realized it was easier to go with it than to try and fight it, a massive stack of small envelopes with a gold star motif and a neat little You're Invited! lettering on them, and a mission to go around the island and slip them through the likely doors, mailboxes, or just adhere them to the doors themselves. She'd sort of slacked off on getting them in the actual mail, so this should be fine, and there would be a corresponding text and email invitation sent out to the likely suspects, as well, but for now? Old school canvasing style. With a koala.

And with that, she flitted about town like a koala-bearing baby-shower invitation fairy who really had nothing better do to on a Sunday afternoon anyway, which was just sad, except, you know, for a bestie baby shower, she'd give up even more high traffic days, but, thank god, she didn't have to!
