The kitchen staff immediately wondered if now Ignis would whip up a couple pumpkin spice related specials, to which Ignis just sighed, pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose out of long-standing habit more than any actual need to adjust them, and shook his head. He then made a simple request: "Could you do me a favor, and look at the calendar, please."
They looked.
"Can you tell me," Ignis continued, "what the date is?"
Dutifully, they reported: August 29th.
"Exactly," he said. "There's your answer."
And he went to start putting together several non-pumpkin spice specials while also sparking a lively debate on how time was all pretty arbitrary and made-up, anyway, and pumpkin spice being more about a feeling and a way of life than a mere seasonal frvolity.
Cult of PSL, indeed.
