When Ignis came into the diner that day and headed into the kitchen to start whipping up his specials, there was a silence that settled over the other members of the staff, one of anticipation, one of hope. But Ignis did not say anything, he just sort of set to his routine of beginning to gather his equipment and ingredients (thankfully just where they should be; he was so glad they'd all moved past the juvenile humor of moving things around on him) in silence for a while. Just like knowing when to remove a simmering pot from the heat, he too felt that there was a certain art to a reveal, as well.

Then, finally. "Yes," he said, "I will finally be doing pumpkin specials finally."

A cheer rose up from the kitchen staff...well, mostly, there were a few people who were grumbling and complaining and started handing over money because they had suspected that Ignis would actually try to hold out until the first official day of fall, but then it was time to get to work and get ready for the day.

And that was not a faint smile tucked in the corner of Ignis' mouth as he brought his new recipehs into fruition, how dare you.
