The Photo Hut; Monday [09/11].
Yes, Liz had spent a lot of time last week setting up a new display of all the frames they'd gotten in and she'd done a really great job, but now, Prompto was going to spend a lot of time today thinking about it and then printing out what he thought would be some of of the funniest images he could think of to print off and slip into the frames on display.
What?
It was mostly just to see if anyone noticed, to be honest, and it was mostly just pictures of cats wearing things like cute hats and bowties and hilariously dramatic family portraits of people and their pets.
Which then, in turn, made him wonder if that could be a genuine avenue for his photography business and wondering if it would be a terrible idea to suggest to Liz that they do one, especially since he was 95% sure she'd actually go along with it.
But, hey, look on the bright side. At least he wasn't still mired in a deep dark well of his depression and trauma anymore, right?
Right!
The Photo Hut is open!

"Hi are we interrupting?" she asked and then she noticed the frames, "oh the frames look great," she told him with a smile.

"I took a little bit of...artistic license," he said said proudly, "to kind of, you know, spruce 'em up a bit. After all, a frame's only as good as the pictures inside, right?"
He was going to use that moment of distraction toward all his hard work as a good way to slip up next to Liz and sneak in not only a quick kiss on her cheek, but also swoop in and snag up Noctra so that he could also plant a much-more exaggerated and playful kiss on her (complete with a Mwah!) and lift her up and make a little face at her until she giggled with delight and tried to reach for his hair to grab onto it, which was becoming a distressingly frequent fascination of hers that definitely meant he was cradling her in his arms now, well out of reach of his head.
"You guys have a good morning?"

"And we had a really good morning, Noctra had a really good nap this morning, so hopefully she'll be nice and tired tonight," she smiled.

As he was working through his memory, Noctra's little fingers had started trying to grab onto and pull at the buttons on his shirt, making focused little "mah, mah, mah" sounds as she did, and that jogged it.
"Manning! That was it! Right?" He chuckled a little, ruffling Noctra's hair. "Thanks, Nugget."
Noctra, of course, had no idea why she was being thanked, all she cared about was the frustrating state of affairs that the shiny buttons on her dad's shirt were not moving so she could put them in her mouth.

Not that they should let that stop them anyway, of course!

There was a very real possibility that Manning was not going to see it that way.

Not quite.
