Luke's diner, Saturday

When Miguel got in today, he found a big pink, purple, and blue flag up across the wall, and tons of drapes of the same colors decorating the corners. There were even little flags in a cup by the register.

"Wasn't pride a couple months ago?" he asked.

"It's bisexual visibility day!" the busboy declared.

"Huh." Miguel shrugged. "Okay, but the one over the passthrough has to move up or come down; otherwise it'll get greasy."

"We figured you could climb up there and fix it."

"After coffee. And don't think the visibility means you'll see Rosa coming if she shows up."

He figured it was a fair warning.

Today's Specials:
Noodles. Noodles go with anything.

Luke's was open!

It was a good warning. Because, somehow, through the sheer power of narrative and via methods entirely unknown, Rosa was suddenly just....there, seemingly.

"Hey."

Had she actually used the door? Climbed in through a window? Displaced an air vent? The world may never know.

If it did, she'd have to kill it.

"Why would I want to ruin perfectly good noodles by doing something like that?" asked Rosa, innocently.

Well.

She tried, anyway.

Just not very hard.
