Diaz & Ass; Monday [09/25].
Rosa had received a call that morning from an allegedly concerned citizen citing some suspicious squirrel activity. Naturally, Rosa's first inclination was to point out that all squirrel activity is suspicious activity, which prompted the caller to insist that it was more suspicious than usual.
Which lead into a whole diatribe about what, exactly, was the scale they were working with here, like, how suspicious did it have to be to be considered more suspicious than usual, and it was getting shockingly involved, to the point where Rosa didn't even realize that she'd started making charts and graphs and lists regarding the matter until after the call was completed and it was determined that, yes, she would go out later and look into it.
Which meant she blinked down at her detailed notes with a look of abject horror.
"Oh god," she murmured, "I think the nerds might be finally rubbing off on me."
And, before that thought had a chance to morph itself into the suggestion that, perhaps, maybe, she'd been a nerd as well all along, she was sweeping all of her notes into the wastebasket beside her desk, finding a book of matches from a drawer, and swiftly destroying all the evidence in a blaze of cleansing fire.
