Eleanor was definitely looking around and seeing what she could do to keep herself busy at the store that day, just so she didn't have to think about how disappointed she felt to get a call from Luma yesterday to let her know that she and Rhys actually wouldn't be able to make it for Parents Weekend. Which was....fine....and...understandable; she understood why they wouldn't want to see more of her than they had to, but it still sort of hurt a little bit and she really did think it would be nice for them to see a place where they didn't have to hide who they were (much). Maybe it would even jostle something out of Rhys, awaken the part of him that had been absorbed when Eleanor swallowed him...

A part of her was almost tempted to compel them to come anyway, but not only had she never tried to use her powers over a long distance like that before, it would kind of defeat the point to work toward healing and forgiveness if she went and did something like that.

So there was some moping today. And some attempts to distract herself with work, which wasn't working too well, but it was at least something.
