Octavia's Birthday Party?, Hooters, Wednesday Evening
Octavia had been very adamant yesterday that Lucifer was not allowed to burn down the Devil's Nest, no matter how it may have looked like right now.
But she had to admit it was very different right now, when she walked in for whatever her shift was going to be like, and was faced with an onslaught of orange, sports on screen, and a lot more staff than she was used to (and in much skimpier clothing than she was used to - on Tiny, at least).
And that was before she saw the banner hanging over the bar, just as bright and garish as everything else:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OCTAVIA!!!
Octavia stared up at it.
"... I think that was two weeks ago."
The bar didn't care. Some of the waitresses had just spotted her, and now there some excited squealing with the gist of 'eeee the birthday girl is here!!' And no, they weren't going to care about such minor details as said birthday having been two weeks ago or no one having actually asked for this party, either.
[ooc: Random party is OPEN, of course.]

Re: Talk to Octavia [DN 10/25]
"Not a bad way to go," Irene commented thoughtfully, glancing around. "Get rid of the Hooters of it all, make a bit of insurance pocket money. Dite's has been transformed as well; can't believe I didn't think of that."
Oh, but what a headache to rebuild. Also, she lived there, so maybe that could stay plan B.
"But I also bet it'll blow over." Probably by the weekend, she'd wager.
Re: Talk to Octavia [DN 10/25]
That was not what had stopped him, and she knew it.
"Anyway," she continued, glancing up at the banner, "it was actually my birthday two weeks ago. But no one here seems to care."
Re: Talk to Octavia [DN 10/25]
That was added in mostly as a concession to how she, herself, would likely throw out more of a ballpark figure if asked her own age, rather than an acknowledgement that time was likely on the wonky side in Octavia's case.
Re: Talk to Octavia [DN 10/25]
"Thirty-two."
A beat.
"And two weeks, I guess."
Re: Talk to Octavia [DN 10/25]
When in Hooters...Hoot. (Or shoot, as the case seemed to be.)
Re: Talk to Octavia [DN 10/25]
"Sure, why not."
