The Magic Box, Monday
Halloween had come and gone. Eliot had spent it handwavily on the mainland, engaging in a hedonistic bar crawl.
Now it was just. November. Getting cold, kind of, but not a proper Upstate New York cold. Just a weenie, niggling cold that prevented one from adapting or pulling out their fabulous winter weather gear. And the sun was setting desperately early now, thanks to the time change yesterday (though an excuse to sleep in was always appreciated) and Eliot hated it.
Seasonal Affective Disorder was so 2007.
Don't mind the leggy Magician lounging in the weak November sunbeam in the shop window. He would manage to rouse himself to ring up any purchases you made eventually. Let him have this for now, please.
