Wanda didn't really have an attachment to Thanksgiving, so this week was a fairly normal one for her. Sure, she might buy a pumpkin pie on sale on Friday, but her plans for Thursday were sitting in the bathtub with a bottle of wine and watching some cheesy romcom. So her prep for the holiday involved buying a new set of bath bombs at work today.

Maybe she'd find one shaped like a turkey or something.

Oh, but you forgot who your housemates were, and, more importantly, Tony's habit of over-ordering.

"Wanda!" Steve said, coming into the store with two coffees. "Peppermint or pumpkin? It's that weird time where both seem appropriate."

"Hmm, let's go with peppermint," she decided. "Caffeinated and freshens your breath."

"It's basically like brushing your teeth again," he said teasingly, handing the cup over.

"Exactly," she said. "And thank you. Doing anything interesting today or just making the rounds?"

[heroic_jawline]

"Making the rounds," Steve said, smiling, "and wondering if you might to make the very long trek to our floor for food on Thursday. Tony always orders too much and we'd love to have you."

Possibly also because he knew your stomach, Steve.

"Oh, of course," she said with a smile. "I wasn't sure if you guys were doing anything private or traveling or whatever."

"We were just in Italy," Steve said like that was a normal thing to say, "and I'm trying to stay a little closer to home to stop Tony from being inspired to buy me something overpriced and insane for Christmas." His eyes went wide. "He wanted to commission a statue of me for the ballroom!"

Save him, Wanda.

"...well. It'd certainly be a talking point." Whether for good or bad was up in the air. Depended on what the statue looked like, she supposed.

"Hopefully it wouldn't look like one of those wax figurines," Steve said. "Have you ever seen those? We always look kind of melted."

[scarlet_chaos]

"Those things never look right," she said, shaking her head. "Like, they're better than I could ever do, but still creepy."

[heroic_jawline]

"So creepy," Steve agreed. "And sometimes it's awkward because, say, the person the statue was for wasn't really dead and was just frozen in ice for a few decades?"

And now there were statues and streets and elementary schools named for him? You know, hypothetically?

"Ah. Yeah, okay, I can see how that would be weird." Luckily it was highly doubtful there would ever be a Wanda Maximoff Elementary School. "And I guess changing their name after you showed up again would be a hassle."

"It seemed kind of weird because I'd've recommended Bucky and, well, look how that turned out."
