Pixie Dust; Thursday [12/07].
Boc had remembered, last week, Stark telling him about things like Christmas sweaters and Christmas hats, so when it turned out that his usual, well-worn, comfortable hat had been replaced with something bright red and trimmed in white with a little ball at the end, he was....well, it was still a bit startling, if he was entirely honest, but most things were, for Boc, but at least he wasn't that surprised.
And he was exceedingly grateful that it was just the hat, and that he wasn't also being subjected to having to wear one of those awful, awful sweaters.
He did think it was a bit silly, though, that they were apparently promoting the purchase of many of these same style of hats today. He was no economist, of course, but it didn't exactly seem like there'd be a high demand for those today, really.
Pixie Dust is open!

Pixie Dust is open!

"Hello, Boc," he said as he entered. "I've come looking for a sweater."
no subject
"A...not one of the ugly ones, though, surely...?"
no subject
He had a plan, you see!

For such a single, short sound, there was so much dismay infused into it. Still, Boc hopped down from his crate behind the counter and moved around to meet Stark over by there the sweaters were currently located.
"Erm," and this sound was clearly one that wished it wasn't about to regret asking what followed, but already knew better. Still, he was hardly about to let that stop him, "begging your pardon, but...what exactly are we hoping it will be suited for?"
But, hey, look on the bright side, Boc! At least this one, you won't feel bad about when Stark inevitably ends up with it ripped and torn like so many other clothes before!

That would be enough for Stark. Sometimes the only point of a gift was to bring a little joy.
"Do you have anything in pink? That seems the best place to start. I think. Or maybe that's too obvious."
He was eyeing the racks of sweaters carefully.

"There are...some pinks," he noted, a bit dismally, because pink was a fine color, you didn't see much of it beyond what had likely been dyed and faded from blood, but these sweaters were not doing the color any favors, and he was trying to think of what Summer's tastes seemed to be from the few times she'd been in here to manage things with Stark's clothing, and had extreme doubts about this whole endeavor.
"Perhaps something like this?" he offered, pulling out what seemed to be not as offensive, although he hadn't seen the front of it until he did pull it out.
"Oh. Erm, and look! It's even got some of those strange birds that live in the park on it!"
no subject
"Oh, that is so very pink," Stark said, reaching for it with a look that was alternately dismayed and delighted. "It might work. But I should look at more..."
He considered his options and then picked up another one in a lighter pink. "This is...I don't think this is quite the right one. But she might be amused. Maybe I should look at something other than pink. She doesn't only like pink..."
no subject
"Well, then," said Boc, quickly dismissing ever giving his next find the light of day and possibly wondering if he could get away with taking it outside and burning it later, "what other colors does she like? Or perhaps....perhaps there should be something she likes on it? A lot of these seem very focused on the pictures..."
And words he didn't know how to read.

"Turquoise," he said. "Which is a sort of blue. And...maybe you're right! She likes cats, or she likes her cat but those cats might be too much. I think they might be. But I'm not sure. And she likes horses. And jello, of course."
And she did seem to have a fondness for awkward glowy aliens but there were not likely to be sweaters with Stark on them to be found.
"Oh, what about this one?"
no subject
Perhaps he should sound more convincing, so that Stark would just pick one and leave and then he'd no longer have to look at any more of them.
no subject
"That might be the best choice," Stark said. "Although I should look at...oh!"
His face lit up (not literally) as he pulled out another. "It has jello!"
no subject
"Erm," he said, "pardon my ignorance, but...which exactly is the jello?"
Looking again, whichever one of them was jello, he decided he did not care for it.

Or was it.
"Summer makes it for the bar, and for parties."
