Atlas Gym; Tuesday [12/19].

The hot topic amongst the staff at the gym that day was whether or not Gladio was being serious when he said that he was considering the reindeer Snuggies as the new uniform for employees, but, really, Sonja had it right, and that was why she got all the extra Cup Noodles^TM.

"He's definitely joking," she insisted to her fellow coworkers. "There's no way he'd ever stick with a uniform that didn't let him be shirtless the majority of the time."

Gladio felt....so seen, but he also couldn't even be remotely mad about it, either.

On the one hand, Summer sort of felt that if the universe was giving you god-awful Snuggies, you should take the hint and just spend the day relaxing. But, on the other hand, Summer had rarely missed a Tuesday at the gym, and while she'd built her whole workout routine on just showing up to flaunt an absurd amount of cute and/or sexy outfits while getting her sweat on solely because the place was run by a total hunk, she felt just breaking that streak because she couldn't flit around in some kind of plaid spandex today was just sad.

She had....no idea how she was going to manage working out in a Snuggie, but, so help her, she was going to try and figure something out. If anything, she could still curl weights and bench press while wearing pretty much a throw blanket all day, right?

But after this? She was leaning into the true meaning of Snuggies: doing absolutely jack shit on her couch except eating ice cream, watching terrible television, and being trapped underneath an approving, although slumbering cat.

Nell was here with an adorable plant themed reindeer snuggie and looking rather pleased with herself. "I htink yoga today," she said with a smile.

"Good call," Gladio said, with a small, approving chuckle. "That's probably a thing, right? Cozy yoga? If not, maybe it should be."

"Maybe I'll just do the corpse pose and doze in my snuggie," Nell said with a smile. She wouldn't, but maybe once she was done she'd stay there for a while.

The lack of cute new outfits on a certain ginger was disappointing, to be sure, but that same ginger looked so comfortable that Stark could hardly object. Not that he would have really objected anyway.

"I'm not sure any of the machines are safe with this on," he said to Gladio. "But maybe something simple."

Or they could all curl up and take naps because they were wrapped in snuggles and that seemed to be what a snuggle was meant for.

"Yeah," Gladio admitted with a soft huff, "it's definitely been interesting seeing how people manage to figure out how to work out in these things. So far, free weights, yoga, seem pretty safe. Really interest to see what might happen if someone decided to use the pool, though..."

"Alright," Gladio allowed, shaking his head, though he was grinning. "But if you're holding it for fifteen, twenty minutes top, I'm definitely coming around and poking you."

"I worry I might get tangled up in yoga... although I worry that normally."

Yoga would probably be good for helping Stark relax. And yet.

"Weights may work. Swimming seems unwise. This would be heavy when wet."

"Extra resistance," Gladio pointed out. "If you're a confident swimmer, that addition weight can be great training, although if you're not, yeah, definitely don't want to fish anyone out of the bottom of the pool due to...incredibly cozy but insistent clothing..."

"I can swim a little. I'd rather not drown in the pool."

Stark paused and frowned. "Or anywhere else. It is cozy, isn't it? I just want to curl up on Su-, on some couch..."

Summer's couch. Obviously. It was the best of couches.

Nell grinned at him. "Or you could come join me and snuggle.

"Now just what kind of gym do you think it is I'm running, here?" asked Gladio, folding his arms (as best he could) in front of him and quirking an eyebrow at Nell.

Although he couldn't keep the faint smirk out of his seriousness for too long.

"That does sound pretty good for later, though."

Nell giggled a little. "Why, Mr. Amicitia! Just what do you think I was suggesting? I'm a proper good women, I am!"

"A good proper woman who seems to think I've got nothing else to do around here but lay around and snuggle, apparently!" Gladio countered back with a challenge there in his grin, in the lift of his brow. "Besides, word gets out, it'll be like the gold stars all over again. Everyone's going to start wanting 'em."

What an interesting little verbal tic you had there in that moment, Stark!

"Gotta hand it to you all for not just giving into the temptation and still showing up," he said, with maybe a touch of a smirk. "That's the kinda dedication and commitment I like to see!"

He should have just come out and said her name, but...

"I like having a routine," Stark confessed. "It helps. So I'm here."

That he might see his favorite person here every week was just a bonus.

Aww. That was sweet of you, Stark, but, sorry, Gladio was very taken these days.

He nodded. "Yeah, I feel you on that one," he said. "Consistency's important. Even if you don't get a whole lot of work in, you're still there mentally and that'a a whole lot better than nothin'."

What? Clearly Stark's narrative had been referring to Nell.

"It's helpful, having the routine. Knowing i have things I'm meant to be doing. And it's satisfying to do those things. I might try some weights, for now. ."

Not at all because Summer was over there. Obviously.

"And then find a couch, later."

"Speaking of which," Nell said. "I haven't gotten a gold star in a very long time."

As if she cared about gold stars.

They were still there! Someone just hadn't been explicitly mentioning them out of worry that maybe people were finding it tedious because they'd weren't getting much response.

But Gladio grinned a little, reached....well, he had to maneuver around the snuggie a little to get to his back pocket, pulled out the sheet of stickers, peeled one off, and went to stick it on the middle of Nell's forehead.

"There," he said, maybe a bit too proudly, "better?"

No, no, no. Of course not.

"Just be careful not to trip on that thing on your way over," Gladio advised with a nod, "and steer clear of anything with too many moving parts."

Nell laughed. "Yes, much. Now, before I go do my quiet yoga do you want to ~~handwavily~~ come over and snuggle after we're both done with work? Since we don't want everyone trying to snuggle with you here? Snuggling at my place of work is fine, by the way."

"I'll do my best. I think I'll be in trouble if I injure myself any further. Not that I'm really injured," Stark said quickly.

"My knee is only a little sore and I mostly rested it yesterday. And I'm sure I can find a spotter if I try..."

"I'll definitely be over later," Gladio assured her.

And then, he just had to ask: "Is that a Plant Parenthood perk for everyone that I'm only just finding out about?"

The quickness at which Stark tried to explain away that injury only made Gladio quirk his eyebrow at him more.

"Yeah, well, if you're working off an injury," he said, "you definitely should find a spotter."

Oh, but who could he possibly get to help him with that?

"...what happened?"

Definitely now looking at Stark's knee.

Or the general direction of where it probably was underneath that Snuggie.

Who indeed? It was a mystery for the ages. But maybe there was someone over by the weights who might enjoy a cozy afternoon/evening together with someone who was (still) Not Her Boyfriend.

"I fell on the ice when I tried to skate," Stark explained. "Bruised a bit. The nurses looked at it yesterday and Summer made sure I rested it yesterday when we decorated."

There was a luuuuurker once again luuuuurking outside. The cape, hat, and plague doctor mask were still present, but this time they were thrown over a Snuggie, thus making the lurker very cozy looking indeed. This wasn't stopping them from lurking, of course.

Though the Snuggies on everybody else made lurking on the gym much less exciting than it could have been.

Booo, snuggies. Boo.

"I mean..." Nell shrugged. "I'm not ruling anything out."

As if.

The only person she'd ever wanted to snuggle with was right here.
