MHA lobby and about, Tuesday
Jon had woken up in a blanket...thing...and squirmed out of it, only to have another one appear.
"Oh, honestly?" He sighed and hiked it up enough to move around. It was still rather comically big, but luckily he didn't have class today, at least. He made his tea, he fed Issa, he checked nobody had actually tried to pay for laundry by mistake, he checked the vending machines to see what they needed restocked, he gave the holosuite a very large berth after what the Danger Shop had done yesterday.
So Jon would be out and about if anybody needed thelandlord property manager.
[Expecting one, but totally open post!]

Especially when he woke up to find himself bundled up in some oversized but admittedly very cozy blanket jacket thing. When he found that taking it off was proving to be futile he made his way from the hotel and decided to head over to the MHA place Steven had told him about and see about more permanent lodgings.
So Humphrey made his way, a bit more slowly and cautiously than usual given how cumbersome his apparent wardrobe was going to be for the day. But eventually, he made it, with only a couple near-tumbles so, pretty good considering!
As he stood in the entryway and looked around he caught sight of someone and gave a wave as he approached. "Ah, hello. Good day" he said, making sure to try and keep the blanket thing away from his feet as much as possible.

You really didn't want to deal with several near-falls on a weekly basis if Humphrey had to climb several flights of stairs every day there Jon!

He went back over to his flat and wormed his way in to keep Issa from getting out. Humphrey would have a moment to look over the lobby before Jon came back with keys.

He headed for the lift. "Third floor is the lowest open one-bedroom flat. It's got a, um. A 'bedroom of happy'. I never have figured out what precisely that is."

As he followed Jon to the lift he tilted his head thoughtfully. "Well if it is a decent enough room to make me happy then I guess it lives up to its name? Which... I am sure it will" he added quickly not wanting to come across as rude. "I was living in a bungalow before coming here so, I am sure it will be very nice!"

He brought them to the third floor and unlocked the apartment. "Your neighbours on this floor are...well, one of them's seldom about, and the other is quite sweet and generally quiet. I, um. I should probably warn you that one of the downstairs residents has parties from time to time, but they do always invite everyone."
He waved Humphrey in. "There's a balcony if you enjoy the weather. Or if you're a smoker." He let him wander around to check it out.

You couldn't pay rent if you were a plant for a month. Also it was possible Jon was still bitter over having lost everything he owned due to being
deadin a coma for six months."Here." He thrust the keys at Humphrey. "If you come down to my flat, you can sign the forms. That's all."

"Excellent!" Humphrey took the keys and followed Jon back downstairs. As they waited for the lift again Humphrey asked something he had been pondering since he had first met Jon. "Forgive me for prying, but your accent, is that Oxford accent I hear?" he asked with a somewhat awkward grin. Look socializing was hard! He was trying!

These two were so great at conversation!

"It's quite nice if you like the sun and sand and water" Humphrey said simply. "It was quite the change at first that's for sure."

He opened the door to a blissful lack of Issa and hurried inside.

He went into the drawer he kept the forms in and pulled one out, filling in the information. "Here we go. You can read it over first, but it should be standard." He tried very hard not to put anything eldritch into his contracts.

He gave a quick look over the papers and signed them before handing them back to Jon. "That takes care of that. Appreciate it- will be good to have more than one small room to walk around in" he said with a small laugh.

Jon nodded. "We've never had a problem yet, so I think you'll be fine. It was good to meet you."

And nobody wanted a three way with squirrels.
Well, Jon definitely did not. He would not presume to speak for any lurkers.

The lurker many many choices, all of the interesting, few of them 'good.'
For example, the decision to lurk on an avatar of the Eye. Sure, the lurker didn't know Jon was an avatar or what the Eye was, but also, we all know that knowing wouldn't have changed the lurker's plans at all.
