When Summer came in for her bar shift that evening, she was a little surprised to see that the zombie band was splattered with all sorts of colors, like they'd been in the snow that had been falling that day, and she expressed her surprise that they'd even been outside at all to have gotten hit by the snow. At which point Tino just rolled his eyes at her and asked her if, what, she thought they just stayed here all the time, and she shrugged.

"I mean," she said, "yeah? Kind of?"

Tino just shook his head at her, murmuring something about how people had lives outside of places, Summer, and she was just going to...let him mumble away, maybe he just needed to get some of it out of his system or something.

Because the further you are away from Tino, the less you'll have to hear him insist that he has a life outside of this place, really!

Where at least the mechanical bull hasn't been painted by snowfall, because, if it was....

Stark was colorful this evening. Stark looked a bit like he had when Anakin had allowed him to be tie-dyed as a koala, actually, only still Stark-shaped this time.

"Hello, Summer." His greeting, alas, was not colorful. Just the usual words and a soft smile.

"Cheeseballs? Really?"

He was picturing the little crunchy ones suspended in jello, for the record. Whether or not that was worse than Summer's concoction remained to be soon.

Just don't speak those words outloud, Stark, or else Summer was definitely going to have to try something like that for next week.

As it was, she was proudly setting one of the other cheeseball jello shots in front of Stark proudly, because that's what happened when you brought attention to it.

"Hello, Stark," she answered back and her usual soft smile was much more of a proud, triumphant sort of grin. "And yes, really. Cheese, nuts, and strawberry jello. Oh! And pineapple!"

Didn't that just sound great??

"That's so many flavors and so many textures," Stark said, a little sadly.

But he'd brought this on himself and he was going to take a deep breath and try it.

"Oh."

It wasn't a happy oh.

Would it help if Summer was following up very quickly with bot one but two of the Snowball ones and a somewhat apologetic smile?

"Well," she said, "after so many of you complained about all of them being so normal last week...."

In other words, yeah, scratch that apologetic smile, he really did just bring it onto himself.

"I didn't complain at all," Stark said quickly. "I would never!"

He would, however, happily work on one of those snowballs.

"That's much better," he said after crunching some of the candies loudly. "Much better. How are you today? Besides full of a misguided desire to punish your poor patrons?"

"Misguided!" Summer gasped, a hand to her poor injured heart in response to such a cruel accusation. "I am clearly just giving the people what they want, Stark!"

But the offense melted easily into a grin, as she added a snowman and went to also mix him a cocktail.

"But I'm good," she said. "Thanks. Had my last class today, too, so I was thinking....you wanna go out to Blips and Cjitz with me tomorrow, like we talked about, maybe? To celebrate?"

"This people doesn't want to eat cheese jello!"

And Stark was clearly so broken up about it. So upset. Look at the grin he was poorly repressing!

"Celebrating sounds... wonderful. Much better than cheesy jello."

Talk about a low bar...

"Yes. Let's do that! Please."

"We get it, we get it!" said Summer, rolling her eyes, but she had to laugh a little, as she set down his cocktail. "You love the cheese jello, you can't get enough of it, but, I'm sorry, Stark, we do have to save some for everyone else, too.

"But great," she said, with a confirming nod. "We have a plan, then. Maybe we can even think of some good new class ideas, too."

"You want to teach together again?" Stark asked, grinning. "So do I."

"I suppose I can live without more cheese jello then. For now. So there's enough for everyone."

But he was going to take some of the candies off his next snowman shot just in case Summer was getting any ideas.

"I think it would be kinda nice," said Summer, shrugging a little. "The multiverse classes can get a little heavy and kind of a bummer sometimes, so it's nice to follow it up with something lighter. It's just a matter of figuring out exactly what, you know?"

Following it up with something lighter with your walking nightlight of a Not-Boyfriend, Summer?

"I've liked doing the food," Stark said. "With you. That's lighter even when it's horrible."

"I've got an idea for a solo food crimes one again in the summer," Summer informed him, "but, yeah, doing one together would be an easy way to tide me over until then. Maybe...."

She considered Stark for a moment, narrowed her eyes thoughtfully.

"Something with...."

"...cupcakes?"

"If you have another food crime class I'll have to take it if I'm not helping," Stark said.

Once again he didn't really sound upset about that.

"Something with cupcakes would be fun. I haven't done that for...a bit now. And I do love cupcakes."

Cupcakes and Summer were possibly his two favorite things in the universe.

"But...what sort of something with cupcakes?"

And taking something Stark genuinely loved and doing her damnest to bastardize it did seem right up Summer's alley...

"I don't know yet," she admitted, "but I'm gonna think about it, and I'm sure I'll come up with something good."

Or horrible.

....same difference.

"We can come up with something together," Stark said.

He couldn't just set Summer loose with the idea of cupcakes and wait to see what happened. That was far too dangerous.

"Tomorrow. Or maybe tonight?"

"Maybe," said Summer, thinking a little bit that if they were thinking about cupcakes tonight, they were doing something either very wrong or very high? "And who knows? Maybe one of the games at Blips and Chitz'll inspire something completely different."

They could discuss cupcake class possibilities while Summer continued trying to get her Not-Boyfriend drunk!

"Oh, maybe. Do you have a favorite game? At the arcade? Something I should try?"

He was so looking forward to going on another space date.
