Pixie Dust; Thursday [01/11].
"Blue!"
"No, pink!"
"Nooooo, it should be blue!"
"Are you mad? It should be pink!"
Two of the employees were having a debate about what color should be featured in the window this week, and it was giving Boc a terrible headache. They were furiously going back and forth, ripping away clothing from mannequins and hangers and replacing it with other clothing of their preferred color, so even visually, the rapid-fire switching was sort of leaving him in a daze, but, eventually, it got to the point where even he felt he had to put his paw down.
"Well, why couldn't it be green?" he asked, with a little more bark than he was expecting, and so when the employees blinked and turned their heads in surprise unison his way, he immediately flinched back and regretted everything.
"Never mind!" he said, paws going up, shoulders hunching, head waggling back and forth as he lowered it and slowly back up to disappear behind the counter again. "Never mind! Forget I said anything, I regret even getting involved, don't mind me, no one ever does, just go about your business, forget I'm even here, that's the way it always should be...."
In the end, they settled on yellow.
Pixie Dust is open!
