Luke's Diner; Tuesday [01/16].
Ignis was quite a bit...distracted that day, and he felt that it, unfortunately, was reflected in his specials board. He just had trouble focusing, really, on food, when there had been so many other things going through his mind after the last week and, especially, after last night at what was now Nell and Gladio's. And about how, even though they'd been spending Monday nights at the apartment because it was closer and he had work in the morning so it was just more convenient and he desperately needed to justify still having it by spending at least one night a week there instead of at the mansion, when he and Liliana left, he started the path to the woods rather than to MHA. And she didn't say anything about it, just moved in even closer, and when they finally arrived, there were other things to do than talking.
So, yes. Hard to think about how to best wrangle seasonal ingredients into unique and interesting dishes when one's head was buzzing with other matters entirely. About how they probably should talk, how they really did need to start using their words, and about all the reasons why he was reluctant...no, no, if one was talking about the importance of words, one should be precise, so all the reasons why he was afraid to actually say them, and then thinking on the words that had been said, and just why it was easier for him to just want to disbelieve it, deny it, why he couldn't just accept and embrace it...
At least he wasn't so distracted that he couldn't keep the coffee flowing. And keep it flowing he did, usually flowing straight from the cup and into his mouth so consistently that he was considering the efficiency of just setting up an IV....
(And maybe about the logistics of emergency coffee bottle gnomes, making a mental note to inform Liliana of that one as soon as possible).
Today's Specials
Chicken Couscous Soup
Smoky Maple Tofu Sandwich
Butterscotch Pie with Walnut Bacon Toffee
