The Photo Hut; Monday [02/15].

So, the school trip was coming up, and obviously, Prompto had a free pass for teaching and everything, but with a one-year-old in the mix, it definitely complicated matters a little in getting to enjoy that. Thinking back on it, it had been a while since he'd gotten to go on one, and he was pondering the logistics of maybe actually going this time or if they should wait a little longer still into the fall.

And he was coming out pretty torn, taking a few breaks in his photo editing to do a little research on recommendations and tips and things like that, and he felt that maybe if this trip was a little more...local, like that one time they all went to Boston, then maybe he'd feel a little more comfortable about it, but dealing with a toddler in a space resort??

There was...surprisingly little information to help him with that scenario online, apparently!

He figured he still had a few days to really decide on it, but also, if he was waffling this much on it, maybe that was just his gut instinct trying to tell him it was a bad idea. Not that he felt his gut instinct was ever a very good judge of pretty much anything....

And right on lunchtime there was a visit from Liz and Noctra, “hi,” she smiled and Noctra gave her own attempt at a greeting, “are we interrupting?”

"Hi," said Prompto, looking up from his research with a little bit of a that tired smile he got when he was overthinking things probably way too much....so, you know, a smile Liz probably saw a lot. Then he shook his head. "Naw, not really. Just poking at some pics from the weekend and doing a little research...you know the school trip's coming up?"

And, almost idly, as he talked, like it was second nature, he pushed back his chair a little and lifted his arms to take Noctra from Liz for a little while and give her a baby caretaking break!

"How was your morning?"

Liz did notice that smile and gave a sympathetic smile back as she carefully handed Noctra over, “our morning hasn’t been too bad,” she told him and Noctra gurgled in agreement, “I thought the school must have been close to their trip, where are they going this year?” she asked curiously.

Prompto planted a kiss on Noctra's head and gave her a little boop before settling her in his lap and ruffling up her hair a little. When he looked back at Liz, though, his eyebrows were both lifted.

"Space, apparently!" he said. "If I'm understanding it correctly, anyway. Which is possible, but I guess it's some space resort this time. I mean, it makes sense! I'm just surprised we've never done a space one before....at least not during any of mine. We did end up in Ancient Greece that one time, but I'm pretty sure that was an accident."

“Space is definitely different,” Liz said with a tilt of her head as she tried to think back on previous school trips, “they didn’t do a space one when I was in school either,” she told him.
