Eric breezed into the bar and didn't even glance at Tiny before announcing, "Whiskey specials yes, trying to get rid of extra green beer no."

Tiny took off his shamrock headband and stuffed it back under the bar.

The Devil's Nest was open for anyone needing to drink their hangover away!

"I heard there were juice boxes here!" Navaan declared, entering the bar with all due panache.

"Juice boxes," Eric repeated. "Are you ten years old?"

"Well, juice bags," Navaan acknowledged. "The nurses said I can't drink the ones in the refrigerator at the clinic anymore. 'We MiGhT nEeD iT fOr An EmErGeNcY.'"

That's right, nurses, that's what you sounded like.

"Ohhh," Eric said, catching on. "Have you tried True Blood?"

Navaan blinked at him. "Wait, is there fake blood?" She sounded horrified. "That sounds like some God of Fun bullshit and I killed him already."

"It ended a lot of immediate stake-based deaths once the humans stopped being afraid I'd eat them all," Eric said, then rolled his eyes. "They could be so lucky. I'm not going to eat most of them. They're gross."

Navaan wasn't that picky, especially since she usually ended up feeding off of patients in her clinic back home.

"So is that a yes on the juice bags...?"

"It's a yes on the juice bags," Eric said. "Do you have a preference for type?"

Like Navaan knew what 'blood types' were. She was a doctor, not a bloodologist, Eric.

"Mixed with alcohol?" she suggested, because two great tastes and all.

Eric grinned. "A Bloody Mary?"

Shut up, he was hilarious.

"Or Susan or Aldrich, I'm not picky," Navaan said with a laugh of her own.

"I haven't eaten an Aldrich in a while," Eric lamented.

Navaan looked at him sympathetically. "If it helps, I don't think I ever had a Mary?"

Look, where she was from, people had weird names like 'Grier' and 'Navaan' and 'Apprentice.'

Stark looked up at that. "They do?"

He'd probably never had an actual juice box before.

Yeah, he probably didn't want one of the ones Navaan considered a 'juice box.'

"That's what I heard!" Navaan said cheerfully.

"I usually get vodka here," Stark said. "Sometimes other things. Not Tiny's experiments..."

Making things that Tiny and Tino concocted was unwise as a general rule.

"I mean, I'm also here for the alcohol," Navaan hastened to assure him. "The amount I had at the ball pit wasn't enough."

She'd only had an hour in the ball pit, after all.

"The ball pit?" Stark repeated. He was, alas, very much not Online and knew nothing about extra hours in the ball pit.

"I didn't know there was one here. Or anywhere near here."

"Oh, we went through a portal to somewhere else," Navaan said. "It was a bar with a ball pit!"

A truly brilliant idea.

"I didn't know those existed," Stark said. But he was going to ask someone about it later.

"I've been to bars with games before. Not a pit full of balls. You weren't with Summer, were you?"

Maybe that was part of the green beer experience. He had no idea!

"Why wouldn't I be?" Navaan asked.

Look, he asked in a weird way, she was curious.

"I just know she was at a lot of bars this weekend," Stark said. "So I wondered."

"This was today," Navaan said. "But I should tell her about it! We can go back without Jon making people keep their clothes on."
