The Junkyard, Monday Morning

Cal had fallen into a pretty solid daily routine that thankfully hadn't been interrupted by any children, but he decided to take a small detour today to check out the junkyard. As much as he wanted to look at the ships, he kept a respectful distance and admired them from afar as he looked over all the scattered piles of bits and parts.

He crouched down to let BD-1 hop down and take a look. "Do you think if we cleaned this place up a little, anyone would mind if we took something useful?"

"We can say sorry later!" BD-1 replied, already running towards a pile of scrap.

Cal laughed and settled down nearby, multi-tool at the ready. "Sounds like a plan to me."

[The junkyard is open!]

Did you understand how many flowers Tony had to dispose of, Cal? Did you have any idea? Because he was desperate enough to even be at the junkyard in the vague hopes that maybe they also took dead flowers.

They did not, so he was back to square one.

Which was why Tony was sighing heavily and just waving in the direction of the other person there as he recalculated.

Well, he had the spirit!

"Not unless you want to trade scrap metal for roses," Tony admitted ruefully. "Are you... in charge of this place now? Or just working?"

"They were," Tony replied with a helpless little shrug. "They probably won't make it to prom, though. Not unless you're going for a sort of Miss Havisham aesthetic."

Oh yeah, that was gonna translate real well to Cal, wasn't it?

"Some women like flowers," Tony granted him slowly. "I'd venture it's more of a personal choice, really. You can really only base it off of the individual."

And, that one expression of delight some people got when seeing a dog out in public? That was Tony with BD-1. Because of course it was. "Oh, hello there."

"Tony," he said, crouching down to be more on BD's level for a little better inspection. "What sort of interesting? Not a flower of scrap metal, I assume."

But hey, that was an idea! One that probably only appealed to Tony.
imafuturist: (look at the science I made)

"Fair," Tony said with a laugh. "If you need parts you can't find here, feel free to come by my shop and we'll see what we can do. Between Rey and I, it shouldn't be too hard."

Rude and fake, clearly Stark Industries should be multi-dimensional by now!

"I do," he replied, only at a loss for a moment because, well, it was always a little funny to not be recognized after his life was spent being so well known. "More tech from this planet, really. But I'm always happy to learn more. My bots, for example, are much more rudimentary than the ones from where you're from."

Meaning they didn't commit any war crimes. Chopper.

The Geneva Convention never considered robots, but if they had...

"They're very friendly," Tony promised. "Just a little... well, they try. The number of times they've tried to feed me motor oil is probably worrying."

JARVIS did his best with the babysitting. But sometimes Tony needed to learn not to blindly accept drinks in the lab.
