Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

The roof was fixed, this week wasn't stupid, and Rey was looking forward to a nice normal day.

A nice normal day where a woodchuck, a porg, and the exchange otter were having a little tea party. (The porg wasn't really participating.)

But at least maybe she herself could train in peace? Without being asked to join? What would they even talk about?

"Thank you for never climbing the principal's tower," Anakin announced, stomping into the warehouse holding a plush, glittery pillow...thing with "SHITGIBBON" written on it in elaborate cursive.

He'd seen some things today, Rey.

Rey frowned for a long moment.

"Doctoring class again?"

She got him after you, Navaan. She got him after you!

"First people climbing the tower, then doctoring," Anakin said. "Is their any alcohol left in the fake trees?"

[thatwaslucky]

"Probably," she said. Not like she was touching it anytime soon, let alone in here. "This is week two?"

[sith_happened]

"Three, maybe?" Anakin said. "It's all a horrifying blur."

[thatwaslucky]

"If you need to be cheered up, maybe you can join the tea party."

With alcohol in the cup, maybe!

"...have you also been invited?" Anakin asked warily.

[thatwaslucky]

"Not in so many words but I'm waiting for it."

And there was the otter, making little otter noises.

At Anakin specifically.

"Only if Rey comes too," Anakin said. Tea with an exchange otter. Sure, went with the rest of the day.

"Why are you dragging me into this?" Rey hissed. "I was safe."

[sith_happened]

"If I go down, you're coming with me," Anakin hissed back.

[thatwaslucky]

"I don't even know what to do at an otter tea party," she said.

[sith_happened]

"And I do?" Anakin replied.

[thatwaslucky]

"You have children."

Were Christopher or Juliet tea party kids?

[sith_happened]

"They aren't otters," Anakin replied.

[thatwaslucky]

The otter and now woodchuck were still making pleading noises, and Rey finally said, "Fine."

"We'll join you," Anakin agreed, sitting down by the...random animals. Because this was his life today.

Rey went over and took a tiny seat as the otter nudged an empty teacup towards her.

"Do you not get actual tea?" Rey wondered.

[sith_happened]

"Not with the kids," Anakin admitted. "They'd spill. And they were three at the time."

[thatwaslucky]

"Okay," she said, now not sure what she was supposed to do with an empty cup. "I never did anything like this."

[sith_happened]

"You just pretend to be enjoying yourself and nod along with the small talk," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

Rey looked around at their companions. "Right. Small talk."

[sith_happened]

"Maybe the weather?" Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's nice out," Rey said. "I like it."

She felt so boring right now.

[sith_happened]

"It's definitely going to get hotter," Anakin said, feeling a million years old, "so we should enjoy this now."

[thatwaslucky]

"Yeah. I like hot, but not too hot."

Rey shrugged.

And fake sipped her tea.

"And no sand."

Anakin, honestly.

[thatwaslucky]

"Especially not sand as weather."

That was a nightmare.

[sith_happened]

Anakin shuddered. "I hate sandstorms."

The otter yawned pointedly in his direction.

[thatwaslucky]

Rey frowned at the yawning and said, "Yeah, those are terrible. Glad we don't have those..."

The porg slid off its chair and started wandering off

We could bore them into letting us out of this, Anakin sent to Rey, hiding a tiny smile behind his cup of nothing.

We're already doing that.

Look at her face. They were even boring her.

It was fairly excruciating.

Well, maybe we should excuse ourselves to train? Anakin replied, setting down his tea cup. "This has been wonderful."

Not really.

"Yes, we'll have to do it a-"

Nope.

"Thank you for inviting us."

[sith_happened]

"It was...fascinating," Anakin added.

[thatwaslucky]

Was the otter kind of shooing them away?

"See you later, thank you," Rey said, getting up.

[sith_happened]

"We'll be on the other side of the warehouse," Anakin said unnecessarily.

[thatwaslucky]

Rey was already speed walking all the way over there. Busy person, training to do!

"Now I actually want a cup of tea," Anakin murmured when they were out of earshot.

[thatwaslucky]

"Is it rude if we go to get some?" Rey asked quietly.

[sith_happened]

"I don't think so," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Want to go immediately?" she asked.

[sith_happened]

"Yes," Anakin said, nodding.
