Furnado Animal Shelter; Wednesday [06/05].
Prompto didn't know who was responsible for it (the vet vehemently denied having anything to do with it, but he wasn't quite sure he entirely believed her), but someone or something had dressed up all the gerbils and hamsters and Guinea pigs in the shelter in bee costumes.
It was honestly hard to tell who was more excited about this discovery, Noctra or Prompto himself.
Either way, you'd better believe that the two of them would be dragging out some of the honeycomb cat trees and setting them up and letting the bee-rodents go wild in them, and Prompto was definitely taking pictures to send to Nell in case she needed any new ideas regarding her own bees.
Furnado is open!

Furnado is open!

"Good afternoon, Mr. Argentum. Miss Noctra," he greeted.

"Oh!" he said, laughing a little, and quickly checking that Noctra was pretty set before he started to get up from where he'd been sitting with her. "Hey, Detective. Welcome back! Don't tell me Raphael's already managed to go through those toys from last week already!"

"I'm here today to get some things for our fish tank, actually."

He started to move that way, toward the back of the store, and the glorious fish experience they had thanks to the giant tank against the back wall that, at one point in time, served as the winter residence for one very large Zora prince.
"Just watch all the bees!" he added, gesturing toward them as they passed by and he went to pick up Noctra so she wasn't left to her own devices with tiny living creatures. "Don't worry, though, they're all buzz and no sting!"
"Bzzz, bzzzz!" agreed Noctra, who squirmed a little bit in protest from being swept away from the all the hamsters, but also was curious enough about what they were going to do next to not cause too much of a fuss about it. She reached a hand toward Watts, too, fingers opening and closing in what had become her patented wave-unless-someone-wanted-to-give-me-something-that'd-be-fine-too way of greeting someone.

Oh! Noctra knew this one! She knew this one very well! Her fingers kept grasping at the air while she bared her teeth in the facsimile of a smile she didn't quite have down on demand yet while gushing out, "Pweeeeeeeee!"
"Very good, Noctra," Prompto said approvingly, while giving Watts the subtle go-ahead with a nod, and clearly trying hard not to chuckle. "Pwee."

"Here you are, then, Miss Noctra," Watts said, fishing a plastic baggie with a cookie out of his jacket pocket.

"And now what--" Prompto started, but he was interrupted by Noctra's eager "Ache yeeeeeew!", which made him chuckle and that then made her giggle a little, but she was going to have a cookie now, and after the big fuzzy bees that crawled around on the floor, this was shaping up to be a pretty big day for Noctras.
"Treat tax out of the way," Prompto continued, "let's get you some fish stuff, yeah?"
