Amaya'd finished up her little cane project for Ignis, so it was on to working on her next project, which was significantly less complicated but substantially more stressful. Granted, she had no real reason to be worried about it; Irene had loved (or at least said she loved, very convincingly) every piece Amaya had made for her thus far, and there was no reason why this should be any exception, especially not when there'd been fairly clear and precise directions, but, well....

She just didn't want to disappoint her.

Which was why she was sort of pulling out all the stops with this one. There was forging, there was hammering, there was twisting and bending and the flash of her welding torch, and pulling out some of the chemical treatments, more twisting, more bending, some sanding, the debate between just molding all the tiny little spikes or meticulously crafting each one...

All the sort of work that really had her needing to stretch out her back and rub her eyes a little and remind herself to make that appointment with an optometrist here pretty soon. Maybe when she was a little further along with the project....she'll get to it! Eventually!
