Midnight Manor - Wednesday Evening - Living Room

After shenanigans, Kamala had headed straight home where she had prepped the living room for an evening of fun and frivolity.

Which really just meant popping popcorn and making sure there was a variety of cold beverages in the living room.

So now she was just sitting in her favorite shenanigan outfit and going through multiple streaming services trying to find the movie she wanted to watch.

"It should not be this hard to find a stupid movie about an ogre."

It really shouldn't.

And when Kamala's head rested on her shoulder, Eleanor shifted a little, hoping to make it just a little more comfortable for her, and her snacks and beverage were likely to be completely ignored from then on in, especially as she freed up at least one hand to maybe find Kamala's and hold it as they get settled in for the movie. This, right here, felt comfortable and safe and not likely to explode in her face in some horrible way, but also still new and exciting and unbelievable. But it was definitely real and wonderful, and that was more than enough.

She smiled softly, though it wasn't nearly as much to herself as she thought it was. "Let's just mark it off the list for now," she decided.

There was a slight pause as Kamala just smiled a dorky smile. "Deal," She said giving Eleanor's hand a little squeeze. "And in case I forget to tell you later? I'm having a wonderful night."

Never mind that the movie hadn't started yet.

Well, that just meant there was still all that time left for things to still go horribly wrong!

But Eleanor's smile grew, in a way that she wasn't really sure she ever had before and squeezed Kamala's hand back.

"And if I forget to tell you later? So am I."
