After his very exciting squirrel homicide lead had turned out to be "overly dramatic squirrel faking their own death", Steve had been decidedly grumpy about interacting with his coworkers.
The Troopers, displaying the kind of reckless regard for their lives and safety that made them famous all over their galaxy, had hidden stuffed squirrels and brooms around the office.
The station was open and very professional.
