Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey got in to see the woodchucks watching the Olympics. They had one of those small, old TVs, the ones from the 90s or so that were basically a cube with a screen. Where had they gotten it? Who knew. How was it plugged in? That would be the long series of extension cords leading back to a wall outlet, which was probably a fire hazard.

And while Rey would initially have considered this one or the abnormal things to walk into, she found herself pulling up a crate to watch them. Track was on, okay.

Anakin came in, flipping over the quicksand. "Rey?"

"Hurry, the race is about to start," she said, waving him over.

"What's the race?" Anakin asked eagerly.

"No idea," she said. "A something hundred."

She didn't care! It was people running fast!

"Running or swimming?" Anakin asked. "I like both."

"Running. We've apparently started track and whatever field is," she said.

"Jumping and throwing things, I think," Anakin said.

"I'll watch that," Rey said immediately. "That actually could be fun."

"It's very fun," Anakin said, "even if I get distracted thinking of how the Jedi would do at some of the events."

"Oh, the jumping wouldn't even be fair." Don't think she hadn't immediately thought of that.

"Exactly," Anakin said, laughing.

"Everything I said last week would probably disappear here," she admitted.

Anakin grinned. "Well, in this event, it would be ridiculous to not use the advantages."

"Running I'd probably-"

And she immediately forgot what she was saying when the race started and she was sitting on the edge of her crate watching.

Anakin shut up, too, captivated by just how fast people without powers could move.

And it was over pretty quick, but not without Rey making little "Go... go..." sounds.

"Wait, why are they talking about qualifying?"

"Oh," Anakin said. "This wasn't for a medal. There are so many athletes that they have to cut it the field down to the top eight first."

"So there's more?" Exciting!

"So much more," Anakin said with a grin.

"Good," she said, sitting back. "Training is probably going to suffer."

"Or it will motivate you to try new methods," Anakin replied.

"Lightsaber drills while trying to watch a tiny screen?" Rey guessed.
