Around town (aka Amarillo, TX)- Friday early morning
As of this morning Fandom looked like the Old West exploded. Was Amarillo, TX actually imbued by the vibes of Matthew McConaughey? Maybe not, and yet.
The parking lot had some new additions to it, namely Cadillac Ranch. Don't worry, your cars are fine!Unless you don't want them to be and they'll be normal tomorrow. Yesterday's causeway cows were today's horses, and you still probably wanted to point at them and say "horse." (Not compulsion, human nature.) That would lead you into an old ghost town, where a tumbleweed or two was bound to roll past you. And okay, there wasn't much to actually do in a ghost town, but it was a great setting for your Instagram pics.
On island, there were a few shops open if you by chance felt the need to purchase spurs or a cowboy hat. Maybe you were feeling adventurous enough to check out the The Big Texan and take the 72 oz steak challenge. (Don't die!)
The 87 degrees actually worked in the the setting's favor. It was a mite bit dusty here, and there were armadillos running around! Look how active they are when they didn't have to fear cars!
