Pixie Dust; Thursday [08/22].

Boc had sort of spent a little bit of time curled up under the counter in a sort of hibernation mode; he hadn't really meant to do so, but it happened, on occasion, and it was always sort of nice because, if he found a good enough spot to hide in, he'd wake up nicely refreshed and eager to see the world with fresh eyes.

And those fresh eyes were waking up to the first shift into cozy autumnal sweaters and jackets from the lighter, breezy fashions of the summertime, and he rather liked those a bit more, especially the more muted earth tones over the pastels and harsh bright hues. He spent a little bit of time looking through some of the newer pieces on the racks before hopping up on the counter, sitting comfortably, and getting out his sewing kit to maybe start working on a little embroidered cloak.

There were a lot of embroidered cloaks in Pixie Dust these days. He really was getting quite good at them, he felt!

"I absolutely know she'd love to have you there," Kamala replied with a reassuring smile. "Besides, sometimes it’s about putting yourself out there to show how you feel about others. So if you come, you’re showing just that."

She placed the sweater on the counter. "And yes, there will definitely be food. I’m helping organize it. Is there anything special you want? I hear you’re a big fan of cinnamon rolls."

"Oh, well....well, yes," Boc allowed, with a bit of uncertainty, a little thrown by the idea that anyone should ask what he might like at a party for someone else entirely, and his brow furrowed as he loped around the counter and up his little makeshift staircase of upended boxes so he could clamber back onto the counter to ring Kamala up. "I do rather like cinnamon rolls a great deal, but I'm happy with just about anything, really. I mostly lived on mushrooms, for the longest time, mushrooms and rowa fruit and herba leaves wherever I might be able to find them. I'm not one to quibble and fuss. Erm, well, not about food, anyway."

"Oh, it's not a fuss, believe me," Kamala said, cheerfully. "I'm just glad to hear that you're coming."

Did Boc say he was coming? Not in so many words. Kamala might just be manifesting it right now. She reached into her bag and pulled out her wallet to pay for the sweater.

"I love all the clothes here. Arden and I have been talking about revamping my look. We'll have to come in here sometime to do that."
