The problem with anniversaries was that they happened every year. It had been on Rey's mind a lot the last few weeks and turned a couple of her conversations unexpectedly serious, but it was things like oh, quiet days at work that really bothered her.

If you needed Rey, she'd be up in the maker's space tinkering around to keep herself busy. It was healthy!

It took a bit to respond because Rey wasn't someone who had her phone out all the time.

Then she sent a heart emoji followed by August.

He knew.

Come over for ice cream when your shift is over. It's good to spend time with family.

Well that text made her want to cry this week, but she appreciated it.

I will. It might be a whole week for it.
